General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Did a programmed Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) shoot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)?
Could it be that Nathan simply doesn’t remember the orders he carried out while brainwashed?
In GH’s September 24 episode, Nathan insisted getting shot by Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was the last thing he remembered.
When Nathan found out that was seven years ago, he was absolutely floored. A confused Nathan initially wondered if he’d been in a coma.
Still, he didn’t feel weak like he’d been stuck in a bed all that time. Even just looking at Nathan, it’s easy to see he’s fit as a fiddle and has seemingly been quite active.
Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) also gave Nathan a good report on his overall health. In other words, it’s not like Nathan’s been kept on ice somewhere for seven years.
Despite Nathan’s lack of memories, he’s clearly been off doing things – like driving the truck that he crashed in.
If he’s being honest, Nathan doesn’t remember getting behind the wheel, so what else doesn’t he remember doing?
Is there a chance Nathan doesn’t recall shooting Drew? The show surely wants to deliver a shocking culprit when it comes to who pulled the trigger.
Nathan would certainly achieve that goal and could connect things to make this a major umbrella storyline.
It’s possible that a programmed version of Nathan was busy with nefarious activities while the real Nathan’s mind was dormant.
Someone with a motive to target Drew might’ve sent Nathan to do the job.
Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) hinted about possibly getting rid of Drew and is linked to the project Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has been working on.
Nathan could be tied to all that too and may have come back to Port Charles sooner than anyone thought.
Sidwell might’ve used programmed Nathan to go after Drew or maybe some other surprising character ordered Nathan instead.
Regardless, it’d be an interesting twist if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) were trying to avoid facing charges for something Nathan did.
The family connection could bring quite a curveball. This Nathan storyline is going to get messy, it’ll be interesting if some programming is involved, and this is linked to all the Drew shooter drama.
General Hospital spoilers say Nathan may eventually recover some missing memories, so stay tuned for updates on any big news that might come to light.
