General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) may be gearing up for a fake memory flood. Will Drew make a last-ditch effort to save Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and take down Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson)?
Just before Drew took the stand, he was ready to point the finger at Michael.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) delivered a stern warning and insisted she wouldn’t be part of Drew’s perjury, so he relented on the stand.
When ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) asked if Drew knew who shot him, he confirmed that he didn’t.
Alexis was relieved, but Drew privately made it clear that he could still “remember” and shift blame to Michael.
Although Alexis will keep doing her best to defend Willow, more curveballs are coming up in the courtroom.
If Drew fears Willow’s going to be convicted, he’ll grow increasingly determined to stop that from happening.
Then again, the trial could swing in another direction if it comes out that Michael was at Drew’s house and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is covering for him.
In that case, Drew might feel like he just has to put the final nail in Michael’s coffin.
Either way, Drew may decide pretending to recall Michael as the shooter is his best option.
Of course, this would be a “Hail Mary” on Drew’s part – and the jury could certainly see it for what it is, too.
It’d be a risky move, but Drew tends to think all his ideas are the right ones.
On December 26, GH spoilers say Willow will find herself pleading with Drew and doing whatever she can to prompt a change of heart.
There’s no confirmation on why Willow will be begging, but it makes sense that she’ll push Drew to listen to Alexis and avoid claiming he’s remembered Michael shot him.
Nevertheless, Drew might move forward with the plan anyway and ultimately fake a memory flood.
Perhaps Drew will claim something triggered his memory and that he clearly recalls Michael as the shooter now.
Naturally, Drew could have a genuine memory flood later and remember the real shooter is someone else entirely!
That news would put Drew in a tight spot since he couldn’t correct his story without admitting he lied to the cops and prosecution.
There’s a good chance Willow is actually guilty based on all the clues, so stay tuned for updates on Drew’s reaction if that turns out to be true.
