General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) next love interest may already be in the picture. Ryan Paevey just teased a messy romance that could shake things up, so let’s consider who he might give his heart to.
In an interview with Woman’s World, Paevey opened up about the possibility of a friendship turning to love.
Now that Nathan is growing closer to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and serving as her protector, will they fall hard for each other?
“It’s always good to have a love interest on a soap, and Nathan could certainly do worse than Lulu,” Paevey said. “Will we or won’t we? We have a lot in common, so we commiserate. And there’s definitely chemistry there, so I’m interested to see.”
Although Ryan Paevey couldn’t confirm that GH writers are pairing up Lulu and Nathan romantically, he acknowledged that storyline could pave the way for some big news and great drama.
Considering Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) coma and all the other key players involved here, it’s easy to see why Paevey finds the idea of a Nathan and Lulu romance intriguing.
“Nathan and Dante, back in the day, were best friends, and then Maxie and Lulu… There’s all kinds of friction there,” Paevey said as he considered the fallout of Lulu and Nathan getting together.
As a bonus, Paevey really enjoys working with Alexa Havins Bruening.
The two of them have found a nice groove on-screen, so Paevey had nothing but positive things to say about his scene partner.
Nathan is missing Maxie and could potentially find himself swept up in some complicated new feelings for Lulu.
Even if Nathan can’t give Lulu his whole heart, they could cross a sizzling line together eventually.
Likewise, part of Lulu will always love Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but she’s clearly drawn to Nathan and his heroic tendencies.
Nathan and Lulu have already been strengthening their connection, but they have another bonding session coming up during the week of December 29-January 2.
The closer Lulu and Nathan get while Maxie is comatose, the messier the situation’s going to be when she awakens!
