General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, August 19, reveals that it was determined that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) likely had a heart attack. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) also kicked Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) out and refused to forgive his past mistakes, so here’s how all the drama went down.
At the Metro Court pool, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) had a heated confrontation with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and wound up shoving her into the pool!
The conflict didn’t stop there since Carly ultimately declared that Nina and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) were never getting near her grandchildren again.
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) met with his dad and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to discuss the assault on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Michael got updates on Drew’s demands for Sonny, but he didn’t want his father to cave in – nor did he want to petition the court to give Willow visitation rights.
After Michael admitted he thought Willow was the baby stalker, Diane pointed out that wouldn’t affect the case with Drew.
It all boiled down to witnesses and who could help Michael prove that he was deliberately provoked.
At the Home and Heart studio, an EMT suspected that Maxie had a heart attack as he wheeled her away on a gurney.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was quick to mention that Maxie had a heart transplant many years ago.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) got to work summoning people to the hospital, so she even called Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) with the awful news.
At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was annoyed over Drew trying to make his black eye a priority when they had important patients to treat.
Drew at least wanted his injury documented and tried to convince Liz this was about helping Willow, too.
Soon after, Maxie was wheeled in, so Elizabeth was horrified along with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).
Lucy arrived and comforted Felicia, who was a weepy mess over Maxie’s condition.
Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) also showed up in a panic, but Lulu worked to calm him down.
Meanwhile, Maxie needed chest compressions and charged paddles, but Lucas was finally able to restart her heart after repeated attempts.
Lucas found Maxie’s loved ones in the waiting area and let them know that Maxie was stable.
There was also some talk about what could’ve triggered Maxie’s ordeal, so Lucas wondered if maybe the cream caused an allergic reaction.
Lucy argued it had to be something else because Maxie was part of product testing and everything seemed fine.
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) pushed her to open an investigation into Congressman Drew Cain.
Turner had reason to believe Drew was abusing his position, but Anna needed something more concrete to go on.
Drew eventually interrupted to report Michael’s crime, so ADA Turner jumped at the chance to make him think she was on his side.
Turner suggested they’d need Drew’s statement along with any other evidence, but Anna pointed out that Michael would have his own documentation and side of the story.
At the Five Poppies Resort, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) got out of the shower before stripping down for some passion in bed together.
However, Josslyn and Vaughn got back down to business in the aftermath as they planned to have Joss grill Britt tomorrow.
In the meantime, Vaughn let Josslyn sleep while he took the first watch by the door.
In Britt’s room, she asked what Jason was doing there, so he explained seeing her in Paris and tracking her down.
Britt made it clear that she didn’t need saving and that she was never going back to Port Charles.
Thanks to Jason, Britt was never going back to Paris either since it was too risky.
Jason didn’t understand why and eventually asked how Britt survived Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) attack.
Britt wanted to know how Jason survived first, so Jason explained how he wound up working as an informant after the cave-in.
Once Britt realized who Jason was protecting during all that, she scoffed over all roads leading to Carly in the end.
Britt was clearly still hurt over Jason ditching her to marry Carly.
Britt said she grieved for Jason and that she forgave him while standing at his grave, but now she took it all back.
After Britt called Jason a “selfish son of a bitch,” she insisted she didn’t forgive him and that she wasn’t going to waste another minute on him.
Britt mentioned her Huntington’s disease being in remission, so Jason wondered how that was possible.
However, Britt felt that Jason had lost the right to know.
Jason warned that the WSB flagged this place and said Britt was in danger.
Since Jason assumed somebody helped facilitate Britt’s demise, he asked if they gave her a choice or if they were just waiting for the right moment to take her.
Jason offered to get Britt out of there tonight, but she said she could save herself if she needed saving.
Britt warned Jason to get out before she called security, so Jason wondered what would happen if she indeed called them.
After Britt finally convinced Jason to leave, she called someone to alert them to a problem that they needed to put a stop to immediately.
