General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, December 17, reveals that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) forgave Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) after Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) had an ex encounter. Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial also kicked off, so here’s how Wednesday’s GH episode played out.
At the hospital, Britt complained about the recommendation letter Lucas wrote, which she felt was a “hatchet job” that made her sound like a robot instead of a warm, caring doctor.
In Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) room, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was ready to take her home, but she insisted there’d been a change of plans.
Portia had agreed to that in front of Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), but she didn’t think coming to stay with Curtis and Trina while she was on bed rest was a good idea.
Curtis gave Trina and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) updates on Portia’s change of heart later.
Trina also defended her presence at the courthouse to Kai and suggested she could look like the clingy girlfriend while he was there to support Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Back at the hospital, Brad came strutting in Portia’s room, so she realized he’d blown through all the money he got from Drew.
Portia argued that Brad no longer had evidence against her, but he still felt he had quite a story to tell Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and the hospital board.
Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) came along and kicked Brad out, but Brad hinted that he’d be back.
Afterward, Isaiah made a compelling pitch for Portia to come stay at his cabin like they previously talked about, so Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was surprised to find Portia’s hospital bed empty soon after.
Brad ran into Lucas next and was forced to listen to him play up his relationship with Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) now that he’d moved in Wyndemere with him.
Back with Britt, she sent Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) a text to thank him for letting her know about his community service sentence. Britt also hoped to meet up with Rocco again soon.
Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) saw Britt’s text on a tablet that Rocco accidentally left behind at the house.
That led to Lulu finding Britt at the hospital and blasting her for this secret contact with Rocco.
Lulu vowed to block Britt’s number and suggested that was only the beginning.
When Britt tried to send more texts to Rocco later, she found that they weren’t delivered.
On another note, Britt came face to face with Brad, who griped slightly about her playing dead for two years.
However, Brad got Britt to agree to watch the Oscars red carpet with some ice cream together and decided all was forgiven.
Britt grinned as she ran into Brad’s arms for a big hug.
At the courthouse, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) overheard Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) on a shady phone call and guessed she was conspiring to help Willow go on the run.
Nina denied that and bickered with Carly before hinting about the prosecution’s evidence not being as solid as they thought.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gave a nervous Willow some pointers ahead of her time in court.
Drew also gave Willow a pep talk and felt confident that the jury would see she was innocent like he did.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) made it clear to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) that she was willing to lie and protect him on the stand.
Michael swore he didn’t shoot Drew, but Tracy admitted it was difficult to read whether he was telling the truth.
Back in the courtroom, the trial got underway, so ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) made an opening statement and made Willow seem like she’d snapped on Drew after losing her children.
Alexis made an opening statement of her own and painted Michael as the bad guy who used the kids to retaliate after the affair.
Alexis pointed out that Willow was married to Drew and insisted she wouldn’t have shot him.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) eventually got some news on his phone and stepped out of the courtroom as a result.
