General Hospital Wednesday, September 24 Recap: Nathan Can’t Recall Last 7 Years – Tracy Found in Atlantic City Casino

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, September 24, reveals that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) couldn’t recall the last seven years while Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was found at an Atlantic City casino.

At the hospital, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tearfully embraced Nathan, who had no clue what happened.

As Nina ran to get a doctor, she told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that Nathan was awake and clearly felt certain that he was the real deal.

Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) checked Nathan out and mentioned the bullet scar on his chest.

There were no lasting effects from that injury or his most recent one, so Anna and Nina got that news before entering Nathan’s room.

Nathan greeted Anna and confessed that the last thing he remembered was Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) shooting him.

Since there was a scar instead of a wound when Nathan looked down, he wondered how that was possible.

Nathan reeled as he learned the shooting happened seven years ago and that everyone believed he was dead.

After Anna explained the car crash details, Nathan was baffled over appearing out of nowhere while missing the last seven years of his life.

Although Nathan wanted to see Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), he found out she was in a coma after collapsing last month.

Nathan also learned the baby Maxie had been carrying was now a little boy named James Malcolm West (Gary James Fuller).

In the Quartermaine stables, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) bonded with James before speaking with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) privately.

That gave Felicia a chance to fill Cody in on the potential Nathan return situation at the hospital.

Cody assured Felicia that they’d keep a tight lid on it and avoid letting James get hurt. Before James left with Felicia, he admitted he sometimes wished Cody were his dad.

As they ran into each other by the GH elevator, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) apologized for blaming Jordan Ashford for her marriage problems.

There had been issues from the beginning, but now Portia confirmed that her marriage was indeed over.

Portia eventually spoke with Isaiah alone and admitted she’d reconsidered pursuing their romance since her marriage was done.

Isaiah was still interested, but he wanted to keep things completely quiet and avoid risking his job.

At home, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) did his best to explain things to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) before she took off.

Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) spoke with Curtis afterward about all the Drew drama and how it affected his relationship with Portia.

Curtis wound up admitting that Portia could become a suspect if their crumbling marriage went public.

Marshall was curious to find out if Curtis thought Portia might be guilty of shooting Drew.

At Jordan’s place, Trina showed up with concerns about her parents splitting up since they could face police suspicion in the Drew investigation.

Jordan pushed Trina to stay out of this since the cops could point the finger at Trina, too.

Due to a tip from Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) regarding Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) past, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) jetted off to Atlantic City in hopes of finding Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) at a specific casino.

During the plane ride, Ned confessed his affair with Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) from years ago, but Brook Lynn already knew about it.

That led to a conversation about complicated Quartermaine dynamics and living life without regrets.

As for Tracy, she was guzzling booze and gambling at a private card table when Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) popped up.

Lois admitted Ned sent her and gave Tracy a nudge to attend Monica’s funeral since she’d regret it if she didn’t.

After Ned arrived and told Lois that Brook Lynn was down on the boardwalk, he took his turn trying to convince Tracy.

Although Tracy was done with funerals and burying people she loved, Ned stressed the importance of her coming back for Monica’s service.

In the end, Tracy decided she’d let one final bet decide. If Tracy won, she vowed to head back to Port Charles for Monica’s funeral with Ned.

The cards on the table already read 17 when Tracy told the dealer to hit her.

Back with Lois, she surprised Brook Lynn with some cotton candy on the boardwalk and offered to share.

Brook Lynn resisted at first, but she accepted a bite after they talked and the tension thawed slightly.

General Hospital spoilers say Lois and Brook Lynn will hopefully make more progress soon, so stay tuned for updates on their mother-daughter bond.
