In tonight’s Survivor season, 49 episode 9 called, “If You’re Loyal to All, You’re Loyal to None’,” as per the CBS synopsis, “Upon the losing group’s return from tribal, the remaining castaways are in utter disbelief after learning who was sent home.
Stakes increase for this week’s immunity challenge when two immunity necklaces are up for grabs. Then, one player’s not-so-hidden immunity idol comes into focus during this week’s tribal council.”

In tonight’s Survivor episode, Rizo managed to pull of a blindside. He worked with his allies. He convinced them that they could work with Sophie. They couldn’t work with MC. MC was voted out.
Which surprised everyone back at the camp. They didn’t even hide their surprise. They thought Sophie would go home and Sophie picked up on it. She was genuinely sadden by their reaction. She trusted some of them. She counted some of them as friends before this and now she knows she can’t trust anyone. She has to look out for herself if no one else was going to do it.
Sophie needed allies. She couldn’t go through the game without it. Only she was being smart with her allies. She saw power swing last time and so she wanted to join that faction.
They were technically on the bottom to those looking on from the outside. Those in that alliance knew better. Two of them had idols. One had an extra vote. Rizo, Savannah, Soph, and now Sophie as well can change this game. They just couldn’t do it if they relied on Alex. Alex loved playing the middle. He said people thought they were using him when he was merely using them.
Alex pretended like he wanted to work with everyone. It was Rizo that called that out as a lie because loyalty to all actually means loyalty to none. He has to pick a side. He has to decide who he wants to work with.
Until he does, Rizo and a few others weren’t going to trust him. They all needed allies to survive on that island. Steven was reconsidering his own. MC was a part of his game. She left and that left him with just Jawan he could trust. He reached out to Sage. He told her that Kristina has an idol.
It was a secret. There were only three people that knew about it. Sage couldn’t tell anyone about it because it proves trust and she wants to work with Steven. Steven telling the truth about Kristina also helped explain her later actions. There was a group challenge. They were split into two groups. Rizo as the captain of one team.
Kristina as the captain of the other team. Soph sat this one out. Soph still got to choose whose side she was taking and unfortunately she chose the losing side. Rizo’s team lost the challenge.
Now, Jawan was on Rizo’s team. He hasn’t eaten in sixteen days. He thought he missed out again. Kristina however couldn’t see him go without food one more day. She agreed to switch with him in spite of her team winning. She had to convince Jawan to accept the transfer because he wanted to earn the reward.
He was so used to taking care of others that he was going to let his pride stop from eating. Kristina explained why she wanted to switch. She said that Jawan took care of everyone and its about time that he eats.
Jawan finally accepted the reward. He went to go eat some fried chicken and enjoy sugary drinks. Kristina stayed behind to play politics. She knew she was safe because of what she found. She also knew she had a list of enemies she wanted to get rid of. She and Sage were in agreement that Savannah had to go.
They also wanted to force Rizo to play his idol. They didn’t think Rizo would play it for Savannah. They offered splitting the vote to force out the idol and they made a critical mistake. They told Soph their plan.
Soph was aligned with Rizo and Savannah. She went straight back to them with the information. She had to tell them. Soph wants to continue working with them and so she told Savannah she was the real target.
Savannah then trusted her in return. She told her the big secret. She let everyone believe she was in marketing and the truth is that she used to be a news anchor. She was a reporter. She was good at talking to the people. It will come in handy if she makes it to the final three. And once they knew she was a target, her alliance found a new target of their own.
Rizo wants out Alex. Alex playing the middle has frustrated him to no end. He was even willing to lie if it meant putting dirt on Alex’s name and so he did push just enough or did he push a little too hard? It all depended on the Immunity Challenge. The Immunity Challenge has two winners tonight.
The last woman and the last man standing both received immunity. Rizo was the first out. Then came Kristina. They both felt secure because again they both have an idol. It soon came down to Savannah and Sophie for the last one standing.
Savannah won again. She won Immunity. Steven won out of the men. With Savannah winning, she couldn’t be a part of the split vote. Her name couldn’t be written at all.
It was still Rizo that was in trouble. They really wanted to oust that idol of his. They were calling him arrogant for not having to use it the past two tribal councils. Rizo pushing for Alex also got back to Alex. Alex was now pushing to get rid of him as well. Sophie also talked a lot of about finding a new set of reliable friends until she talked to the old ones about Rizo. They wanted to oust Rizo as well.
Then came tribal council itself. The targets openly discussed being targets. Savannah did a victory lap now that she won Immunity. Rizo openly stated his idol. Yet, he never played it. He didn’t play it tonight and it’s a good thing because he was safe after the votes came in. Alex was actually voted out. People were sick of him playing the middle. He was eliminated and Rizo lives to play his idol another day.
