The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, May 30, reveals that Aristotle Dumas will send out some France party invitations, so he’ll summon some special guests to his summer home.
At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will talk to Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) about her decision to skip Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday bash.
Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) will convince Lily to have dinner with him and will reveal an invitation that was recently delivered to him.
It’ll be an invite to a private party that Dumas is throwing at his summer home in Nice, France.
The event will be held on June 13, so Damian will comment on Dumas’ unique sense of humor since it’s happening on Friday the 13th.
After Damian gets Lily to open up about her romantic history, she’ll reflect on her failed attempts to make things work with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).
Lily will also talk about her love story with Cane Ashby (last played by Daniel Goddard), but she’ll note that he broke her heart.
Once a messenger delivers Dumas’ party invitation to Lily next, Damian will suggest Lily’s going to get her wish and finally meet the mysterious Aristotle Dumas.
In the jazz lounge, Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) will assure Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that Nikki’s party is going to be legendary.
Victoria will also pass along some invitations that showed up for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman), so Michael will assume this is party is a strategic move on Dumas’ part.
Lauren will assume they’ll be sending their regrets now that Michael doesn’t work for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) anymore, but Michael will seem intrigued.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will also receive invitations, so they’ll talk to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) about them.
Since Dumas will be requesting an extended stay with his guests, that’ll be another piece of the puzzle for everyone to ponder.
At the Newman ranch, Victor will give Nikki the keys to a particular car that Nikki’s wanted since high school, so she’ll be over the moon.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive with a gift for Nikki and will offer updates on the invitations that were left with the guard out front.
There’ll be invites for Victor, Nikki, Nick and Victoria, so Dumas will want them all to attend the party at his chateau.
Victor will take a moment to mull over Dumas’ invitation privately and will look awfully pensive.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will later meet up with Nick at Nikki’s birthday celebration, where they’ll chat with Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) as well.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also make his way to the jazz lounge alone since Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be off taking care of some last-minute details.
When Victoria mentions Claire’s grand plan to win Victor over, Kyle will wish he shared his girlfriend’s optimism.
That said, Kyle will assure Victoria that Claire means the world to him, so Victoria will point out that she’s rooting for him – and so is Nikki.
Once Nikki arrives with Victor on Friday’s Y&R episode, she’ll get a warm welcome as the guest of honor.
There’ll be some toasts as everyone gathers around to celebrate Nikki’s birthday.
However, Dumas’ upcoming party is the one fans are perhaps most looking forward to.
