The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may cheat on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so his new Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) alliance could lead to his romance crashing and burning.
In recent months, it certainly seemed like the show might be going somewhere with Phyllis and Billy’s bonding sessions.
Back when Phyllis was Billy’s right-hand woman at Abbott Communications, fans started to wonder if a cheating story was brewing.
That’s especially true since viewers saw Phyllis’ romantic dream about Billy – not to mention he came to her rescue at the clinic during the Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) lab rat storyline.
However, Y&R shifted in another direction when Billy fired Phyllis and created so much tension between them.
Phyllis’ obsession with giving Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) a job he didn’t want led to her connection with Billy falling apart.
Sally ultimately took Phyllis’ place at Abbott Communications, but now Phyllis is poised to enter a new partnership with Billy – one that could bring these exes closer again.
In the July 28 episode, Billy will seek Phyllis’ help going after Chancellor.
Since Phyllis has already been pledging her loyalty to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and making some progress with him, Billy may think she’s the perfect person to have in his corner.
Billy won’t let all the murder chaos deter him from using Cane to get what he wants.
Phyllis and Billy have something in common since they’re both fixated on business goals that they intend to pull off no matter what.
Before this Nice storyline kicked off, Y&R spoilers hinted about Phyllis finding success professionally and personally.
There were some clues about Phyllis finally getting a romantic win to go with a business victory.
Now that the show’s leaning back into this Phyllis and Billy angle, could they be paired up again?
Billy and Phyllis will definitely pull off some teamwork as they rush to Cane’s defense during the week of July 28-August 1.
That’ll strengthen their bond, but Sally won’t be pleased over Billy latching onto Phyllis once more.
Sally will no doubt view this partnership as a disaster waiting to happen – and she may be right if Billy cheats on her!
