In tonight’s Big Brother episode, Lala was evicted last week. She will be missed, but now that Drew’s HOH was coming to an end, there was a chance for a new HOH to rise. They all wanted that power. They just didn’t know how to achieve it. There was also a shift last week where everyone (other than Drew) came to a realization.
They realized how much they wanted to get Devens out. His own allies were willing to turn on him. Angela and Dee have been lumped in with Devens from the start as the icons. They now wanted to break away from that trio to become a duo.
Angela and Dee have made a “Final Two”. Barrett also had a final two deal with Drew. Its no longer in play and it was just Drew who didn’t know it. Barrett was working more closely with everyone not in the Crossover alliance than he was with the alliance. He only voted with them last week because they had numbers.
He warned Yash in time that the vote was on Lala. Yash voted out Lala because he wanted to hide in those same numbers and that was in spite of complaining about how Barrett was too weak to take a shot.
If Yash was capable of it himself, he wouldn’t have taken the bribe. He would’ve stood on his own two feet and he grabbed that HOH win from last week. Yash took his shot at the icons during his actual HOH. He ended up missing them and losing one of his own allies. This week offered him a fresh chance.
He was freed from his deal with Dee. The houseguests later travelled back to St. Patrick’s Day. Drew was their host. He was putting on a terrible Irish accent. It was ruining his chances with Melody who thought his leprechaun’s outfit was cute.
They played for HOH. They had to a roll the right color ball to land in its row. Get the wrong color – start over. They often had to start over. It was coming down to Barrett and Dee.
It ended up going to Barrett because of all the time Dee had to start over. Barrett talked a lot of game and now he had to prove where he stands. He had to get a little bloody. He had to pick three nominees for eviction. He also has to have at least two targets in case they win Veto or happen to win the BB Blockbuster in the final hour before the vote.
Barrett was a first-time HOH winner. Congratulation! Now comes the hard part. Dee was glad that Barrett could no longer skate in this game and she’d been hoping he wouldn’t nominate her because she hadn’t considered to nominating him. Barrett had an honest conversation with Drew.
He promised Drew that both he as well as Melody were safe. He wasn’t sure about anyone else. He wasn’t even ruling out nominating Devens because he has to take a big shot. He wanted to make his mark and that meant he had to evict one out of four people. Those four are the icons and Yash.
Yash was a fierce competitor. He was great at comps. Barrett wouldn’t mind getting him out. He said all of this to Drew and Drew didn’t go running right away to tell the other side of the house because he knew they were getting closer to the end. It was getting time for big moves. Not safe ones.
Barrett ended up telling Devens his mindset himself. He told him that he was considering nominating all three icons or at the very most two of them with Yash. Devens wouldn’t be nominated if he went with the latter plan.
Devens tried to point out to him that there’s still plenty of time before burning bridges. They’ve kept him safe this whole time. Does he want to be without that safety come next week? Devens tried to talk to Angela about it. Angela played it crazy with him or that might’ve been her genuine reaction.
It’s hard to tell with Angela. She refused to talk game with Devens before she confronted Barrett herself. She found out from him that he was considering putting all three icons up. It hurt her because she never thought he’d be the first to turn. She always thought that’d be Drew.
Its why she hasn’t liked Drew since week one. Anyways, Devens came up with the idea of telling Barrett that Yash can’t nominate the icons at any time for eviction and it didn’t change a single thing. Barrett still nominated all three icons up.
The little stunt did not work. It just made Barrett laugh because he was never once considered in the bribe and that meant he didn’t have to hold back. It was now or never with them.
And the episode ended with Angela getting into an argument with Yash about what happened – she was still going as the credits rolled past.
