General Hospital spoilers note that actress Blythe Howard has been cast in a mysterious new role, and CDL has all the fun details on this latest addition to the ABC soap.
According to reports, the actress is set to play an attorney named Monet. The character’s first appearance will take place next week on Wednesday, September 23.
Executive Producer Frank Valentini chimed in on the actress joining the daytime drama.
He told TV Insider, “I am very excited to welcome Blythe Howard to the cast of General Hospital.”
General Hospital’s EP also provided some insight into the character, hinting that Monet will have a surprising connection to a fan favorite that is already in storylines.
Reports also reveal that Monet will join the Miller and Davis law firm, offering up her legal skills to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) team.
In addition, added teasers imply that Monet will represent a PC resident who is in desperate need of a lawyer.
It’s hard not to think that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may turn to Monet, considering the woman just got arrested by the WSB for Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) disappearance/murder during the Wednesday, September 16 episode!
Still, as Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are on the cusp of a nasty divorce (and messy child custody case), could Monet swoop in and represent one of these two?
General Hospital viewers may recognize the actress from a slew of primetime shows she’s appeared in the past.
Some of Howard’s past acting credits include Walker, Mindhunter, Dynasty, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Bel-Air, and Yellowstone.
Monet is the most recent Port Charles resident to enter the canvas in a slew of new characters, which includes the likes of WSB Agent William Baines (Alimi Ballard), Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) new therapist, Dr. Nichols (Kearran Giovanni), Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer), and Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel).
General Hospital spoilers note that Monet is sure to flip the little town upside down, so it’ll be interesting to see who she already knows in PC and if she has some secrets of her own hidden in her past!
