Are GH writers about to make a big mistake in pairing up two teens who have a different sort of bond?
The ABC soap already faced backlash on social media when they tried putting Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) together.
It didn’t go over well with many fans since Charlotte and Danny are related!
Although the show tried to downplay it as a link between a distant relative, that didn’t do much to sway viewers.
Plenty of GH watchers complained about Danny and Charlotte’s budding romance since they’re second cousins once removed.
Fortunately, the show has backed off the romantic angle when it comes to Charlotte and Danny.
That’s good news, but now it could be Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who is headed into controversial romantic territory.
Summer preview spoilers indicate that Rocco has some serious struggles in his future.
Rocco’s tension with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will be a problem along with more teen drama.
Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) will have some issues with Rocco following his return to Port Charles.
That’ll be due to Rocco keeping quiet about what really happened on the pier with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Although Rocco saved Jason when he fired at Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) that night, he also let Jason take the fall for a crime he didn’t commit.
That was ultimately Jason’s choice, but Danny will still feel like Rocco should’ve told him the truth.
Danny might also insist Rocco should’ve tried to explain things to the authorities and spare Jason from WSB imprisonment.
Charlotte will take Danny’s side once all the teenage tension breaks out, so Rocco will feel all alone.
That’s when a newly aged Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Torkarski) will step up to give Rocco the comfort he needs.
Although spoilers reveal Scout will be a friend to Rocco, friendship can often lead to love on soaps.
It feels significant that spoilers didn’t say Scout would be there for her brother, which is what the younger version of Scout’s been calling him up to now.
Back when Dante and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) blended their families, their kids were adamant about being siblings – especially after Sam passed away.
There’s no blood between Scout and Rocco, but they’ve still had a family connection for quite a while.
Now Rocco and Scout’s bond could be headed in different territory, so there’s the potential for a romance between them now that they’re aging her up.
Will Scout get paired with Rocco down the road?
It seems like a good possibility, but some fans may think it’s weird considering she was essentially his little sister not too long ago!
