General Hospital Friday, July 10 Recap: Brook Lynn Confesses to Framing Willow – Britt Scores Freedom

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, July 10, reveal that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) spilled her guilt to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about setting up Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) also walked free after Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) delivered big news.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn admitted she was behind Willow’s frame-up when Chase confronted her about it.

However, Brook Lynn left out the part about being the driver who actually fled the scene of Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) accident.

Chase blew up at Brook Lynn, but she insisted she was trying to open his eyes to Willow wanting him back.

Since Chase kept ranting about Willow’s mistreatment, Brook Lynn lashed out and assumed Willow was what mattered most to him.

In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) fumed over Carly sneaking Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) to see fugitive Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in recent months.

Carly explained the story of her alliance with Valentin and defended the Charlotte visits since she’d been perfectly safe.

Carly also refused to apologize for her efforts to get Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) out of the WSB and doing whatever she had to do to make that happen.

Since Lulu saw Carly kissing Valentin in the GH parking lot, she knew they were romantically involved.

Lulu ultimately accused Carly of putting Charlotte in danger because she needed to keep Valentin in her bed.

Carly pushed Lulu to see that trying to come between Charlotte and Valentin wouldn’t end well for her.

However, Lulu argued that Carly was headed for destruction with Valentin since that had already happened with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

At GH, Valentin stopped by with flowers and gratitude since Josslyn scored his release from WSB custody.

Josslyn admitted she did it so Carly wouldn’t go down for any criminal behavior and asked Valentin to give a message to Anna.

At Willow’s house, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) suggested maybe some environmental factor in the house was keeping Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) from getting better like Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) did at Turning Woods.

Brennan claimed that he’d come into contact with a classified substance that caused his condition shortly before he arrived at Willow’s place.

Jack acted like he was given the proper treatment for that substance at Turning Woods and tried to make it seem like his ordeal was totally unrelated to what happened to Drew.

After Brennan took off, Willow once again stalled on Drew’s communication tools when Liz asked about them.

Brennan also made his way to Josslyn’s hospital room, where she confessed to getting Valentin pardoned.

Jack wasn’t pleased and pointed out that Valentin was still a threat to Carly.

Josslyn didn’t think Valentin and Carly’s relationship would last long, especially now that she’d given Valentin a push in Anna’s direction and could reignite his old obsession.

At Anna’s apartment, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) sought her help clearing Cassius Faison’s (Ryan Paevey) name since Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) was the real villain of the cold fusion project.

Liesl explained that Cullum was behind Anna’s gaslighting and noted that she’d been held in the same subbasement that Anna had been held in – the same one Josslyn and ultimately Carly were trapped in, too.

Obrecht talked about seeing Anna’s writing on the wall and drew a picture of what the room looked like.

Anna was relieved over confirmation that she’d indeed been held hostage and didn’t make that up like her doctors wanted her to believe.

Even so, Anna still blamed Cassius for his role in the project and assumed he would’ve known how to mess with her because he was Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) son.

Obrecht eventually stomped off before Anna opened her door to Valentin soon after.

In the PCPD interrogation room, Detective Fitzpatrick quizzed Britt about the saline syringe found in her room.

Britt confessed she was an idiot since she believed Cullum’s Huntington’s lies and did what she was told to get fake experimental medication.

Joe eventually said Britt was free to go since the WSB wasn’t pursuing any legal action.

Britt didn’t have money or anywhere to go, so Joe handed her five bucks and suggested she could pay him back later.

At the Metro Court pool, Ava Jerome (Maura West) confronted Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) about what he said while wounded at the gallery.

Ethan claimed Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton) wasn’t his daughter in that weak moment, so Ava assumed he was scamming the Quartermaines.

Ethan insisted he wasn’t and made it clear that this was for Phoebe’s protection before pushing Ava to let it go.

General Hospital spoilers say Ethan’s secret could lead to more trouble than he bargained for, so stick with the ABC soap.
