General Hospital Friday, October 9 Recap: Willow Goes After Lulu for Libel – Britt Convinces Sidwell to Change Story

General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, October 9, reveals that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMulle) faced pressure to make a bold move.

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) paid a visit to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in hopes of helping Willow out.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) urged Willow to sue both Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and The Invader for libel.

Britt acted like it was better to just make a statement denying the allegations and be done with it.

Once Britt took off, Chase kept pushing Willow to force Lulu to make a retraction and felt that standing up to the Quartermaines would benefit them both.

At the police station, ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) met with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about the potential for prosecuting Willow.

Dante had no doubt about Lulu’s story being legit, but there were questions about why Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) didn’t go on the record against her.

Elsewhere, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) asked Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to co-sign a lease so she could move in a new place with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).

Emma knew Gio didn’t want to spend another night under Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) roof.

At Sonny’s house, Gio admitted he was moving in with Emma and acknowledged the accusations against Sonny were a factor.

Sonny assumed Gio was moving out to appease Dante, but Gio said this was his decision and stood by it.

Since Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) pointed the finger at Sonny, Gio couldn’t be disloyal to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) by sticking around.

Sonny stood by his innocence and wished things could be different, but he accepted Gio’s choice.

After Emma popped up, Sonny let her know he planned to prove he wasn’t guilty.

Gio headed for the door with his suitcase and added to Sonny’s heartbreak by nixing his music manager request.

Once Justine called Anna for a meeting, she wanted to pick Anna’s brain about the WSB and whether they had a paralytic drug like the one Sidwell described in Lulu’s article.

Anna confirmed they did and that Sidwell could’ve acquired it since he had an inside man at the bureau.

Dante headed off to the hospital in hopes of questioning Sidwell.

Since there was a time when Justine accused Anna of being biased regarding Sonny, she offered an apology.

Now Justine was the biased one, so she handed over info to get Anna’s take on whether Sonny could be prosecuted over what happened at Pentonville.

At GH, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) gave Sidwell the latest medical news following his heart surgery.

Sidwell mentioned having vivid dreams since he was on a lot of painkillers.

At one point, Sidwell hinted that plans could change after some talk about him heading back to prison with Curtis.

After Britt made her way to Sidwell’s room, she showed him Lulu’s article online.

Sidwell was stunned since he thought he hallucinated that conversation with Lulu.

Britt played up how Sidwell had made things worse for himself and urged him to take his available way out.

Once Dante came to question Sidwell about the claims he made in Lulu’s article, Sidwell insisted it was all lies!

Now that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was back at work following her maternity leave, she was grateful to Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) for watching Desmond Ashford (Yirah Aviah Lafond).

Isaiah sensed that Curtis’ family was uncomfortable with him spending too much time around Des, but Portia was adamant about them having to accept it.

In Curtis’ room, he questioned why he’d never heard about Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) sister, so Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) admitted they were actually half-sisters with issues.

Monet suggested she wanted to present herself as a lawyer first since Jordan had always doubted her capability.

Stella found out this sister shocker as well, so she hustled Monet out of Curtis’ room and immediately made it known that she didn’t trust her.

Even so, Curtis was willing to give Monet a chance as his attorney since he felt he had nothing to lose.

General Hospital spoilers say Curtis may be wrong about that in the end, so stay tuned!
