General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will be on his deathbed, struggling to survive the week of September 28.
During the Friday, September 25 episode, Curtis stumbled upon a bunch of goons on the cusp of beating up his cellmate Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and intervened.
He was warned to stay out of his cell after lunch, but Curtis didn’t listen and tried to handle things in his own way.
Curtis got mixed up in Sidwell’s drama, and now he’ll be facing the repercussions.
It seems like Curtis and Sidwell will land in the hospital, Curtis in the ICU, and it seems as if doctors may be iffy on whether Curtis is going to make it.
Thanks to a leak on social media in August, all arrows point to the idea that Sidwell will walk away from this prison beat down relatively unscathed, while Curtis will fight for his life.
This is bound to make things very messy for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
After all, he technically ordered the entire thing to go down; however, it’s uncertain if he thought it would end like this.
During the September 25 show, he summoned Vito, a crony of his, hoping to organize a message to be sent to Sidwell in Pentonville via an inmate who supposedly was loyal to Sonny.
It does feel as if the inmate may be now working for Sidwell and setting Sonny up.
After the inmate and his buddies beat Curtis and Sidwell, he made sure to say that this was all a message from Sonny.
Plus, Sidwell was very confident and cocky leading up to the prison ambush. It’s almost like he knew it was coming.
Perhaps Sidwell found out what Sonny was up to and decided to turn the tables on him.
Sidwell being rushed to the hospital gives him an opportunity to escape and also nail his nemesis to the wall, so it would be a win-win situation all around.
Plus, Curtis being involved in this makes things much messier.
Curtis was in prison serving an assault sentence; however, he’s far from a menace to society.
In fact, other than this recent charge, Curtis is an upstanding citizen all around.
When first entering Pentonville, Curtis had a plan to keep his head down, be on his best behavior so he could get parole after two years and get back to his life.
After all, he has Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), and his kids, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Desmund Ashford (Yirah Aviah Lafond) that he’s losing time with.
Now loved ones will be worried about whether or not Curtis pulls through and what kind of backlash he may face if he goes back to prison.
General Hospital spoilers note that it’ll be a long and uncertain week ahead for Curtis, so will he end up being, okay? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
