General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) may have a pill-planting scheme to frame Willow Cain (Katelyn MaMullen).
Still, could this plan end up backfiring on Jacinda when all is said and done? Let’s talk about it!
The General Hospital preview for the week of August 3-7 has just been released, and there’s an interesting highlight in the video.
Near the end of the promo, there’s a close-up of a baggie of pills, and then a scene where both Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) question Willow and Jacinda, respectively.
All arrows are pointing toward Jacinda making a terrible mistake by potentially planting pills on Willow – in her purse, office, etc. – hoping to get on Michael’s good side by helping his custody battle.
Jacinda may be in a right time-right place situation where she feels she could bury the congresswoman and make it look like she’s dabbling in pills.
After all, Michael and Willow are once again on the cusp of what is sure to be another ugly custody battle for their children.
Still, it looks like in the end, all Jacinda will do is mess up, be outed for the frame job, and make Michael look bad (as if dating an adult escort doesn’t look awful enough).
Mix in the fact that it appears Michael’s eye will wander during the week of August 3 toward Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger), so this pill-popping scam might be an exit storyline for Jacinda.
When Jacinda first entered the equation, all arrows were pointing toward an untraditional love triangle between her, Michael, and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
Now that Kristina has jetted off to medical school, General Hospital writers have had to pivot.
Jacinda and Michael have a ton of chemistry together, but she has no real roots in Port Charles, and no other friends in the little town (Ezra Boyle [Daniel Cosgrove] doesn’t count!)
This pill framing job might be the perfect departure storyline for Jacinda, and the best way to set up for their breakup.
After all, Michael would in no way pursue Serena if he was still with Jacinda, so this ‘pill frame’ storyline is a win-win situation to progress other arcs, without making Jacinda or Michael seem overly awful.
Jacinda may see an opportunity to set up Willow with a baggie of pills but be sloppy in her delivery and get caught.
Jacinda’s motive is to help Michael, but in the end, it’ll hurt him.
It’s bad enough that she’s a sex worker, but if a child custody hearing were to take place, and a judge was presented with the fact that Michael is dating someone with an unorthodox past, who also purposely tried to discredit a U.S. congresswoman, that wouldn’t be a good look for him at all.
Michael will be forced to break up with Jacinda in the days ahead because of this foolish mistake, with good intentions, under the guise that it is for the kids.
He might also be upset that Jacinda didn’t run the pill plan through him before she acted on it.
General Hospital spoilers note this will inevitably open the door for a steamy affair with Serena but also trigger Jacinda’s goodbye from the canvas.
