General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) may return to Port Charles with massive trauma from his WSB imprisonment – will he dump his job as a mobster’s henchman and his romance with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to focus all his energy on Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn)?
This may be the case. General Hospital’s promo for the week of July 13 has been released, offering some clues.
Fans know that Jason’s first appearance back takes place this Monday, but he may not make it back home for a few days.
A clip does show him in a dingy WSB prison being manhandled by a guard; however, thanks to a deal Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made with the agency’s head, Z (John Oliver), it won’t be long before he’s back in Port Charles.
With that said, while there’s a happy ending on the horizon for Jason, this doesn’t mean he hasn’t been through hell and back during his time in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Jason has had a lot of time to think and reflect on life.
The father was undoubtedly worried about his son that entire time, and since Danny only has him, Jason may feel as if he’s let him down.
Jason did do the right thing, protecting Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) from suffering the fate he would have ended up with by telling everyone that he shot WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Still, had Jason not gotten wrapped up in Britt’s drama, he may not have been in the situation to begin with.
Besides, Rocco has two parents to watch over him, but as Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is gone, Danny only has Jason.
General Hospital spoilers have hinted that Jason will return to PC a changed man.
Jason’s choices moving forward will not only affect Danny, but Britt, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
After months of being in a WSB prison, likely getting beaten and tortured, Jason may have finally come to the epiphany that a life of danger is just not worth it anymore.
After all, Jason’s absence left Danny vulnerable to a slew of things.
Stone Cold may have had time to reflect and realize that the only good thing in his life is Danny, and the only ‘mission’ he should be on moving forward is being the best dad he can be.
This may mean breaking business ties with Sonny for good and cutting the idea of romance for now to ensure his only focus is on Danny.
Jason will likely learn how Danny spiraled after he was hauled off by the WSB, and this will only confirm his commitment to putting his son, first.
Fans may recall that one of the first things Danny did was approach Sonny for a job in the mob.
Danny would later get arrested by the WSB for trespassing and also embark on a dangerous mission to Spoon Island to help with Cullum’s takedown, so Jason may realize that Danny’s natural instinct was to mimic his father’s action.
It’s a ‘monkey see, monkey do’ mentality, which may be the very thing that has Jason finally changing his ways, as the last thing he wants for Danny is to walk along the same road in life that he did.
As such, Jason will return home with one thing on his mind: to make things right with Danny and make his son his top and only priority.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Jason will come back a changed man, and everyone around him, including Britt and Sonny, will have to deal with the aftermath of his life-altering experience.
