General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) may have an unknown brain issue that has triggered her recent explosive outbursts.
Since she’s awakened from her car crash in the hospital, she hasn’t quite been herself.
Some could point to the idea that the woman is experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); however, could there be another explanation?
The first red flag was Jordan’s reaction to her friend, Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), coming to visit her at the hospital.
The woman had brought her flowers, and while Jordan didn’t lash out at Justine, it was odd that she didn’t allow the woman to even have a brief visit.
In fact, she also seemed a tad rude, but considering what she’d been through, Justine understood.
Jordan immediately asked Justine to leave her room and explained she wasn’t in the mood for visitors.
Justine swiftly left, and felt terrible, but the entire incident didn’t sit well with General Hospital fans as it was very unlike Jordan.
Fast forward to the Tuesday, April 21 episode, and Jordan continued to show characteristics that were well out of her normal behavior.
She had a coldness about her when dealing with her hospital advocate, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).
With that said, her reaction to Isaiah Gannon (Swandi Wilson) and their chat was shocking to say the least.
The doctor attempted to offer some encouraging insight about reconstructive surgery, and Jordan tore into him.
So much so, this sent Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) into a tailspin, issuing Isaiah a warning to stay away from his girlfriend.
When Jordan ran into Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in a hospital hallway, she didn’t mince words and got very nasty with Curtis’s ex-wife.
While Portia can be petty at times, viewers could tell she genuinely wanted to help Jordan in her current situation, but Jordan wasn’t having it.
Jordan seems very fixated on her facial injuries. She sobbed uncontrollably after she saw herself in the mirror.
She also mentioned to Curtis how horrifying it was to see the condition of her face – after all, it’s how people will view her.
In fact, while Isaiah’s words about her reconstructive facial surgery were clearly said to uplift her and give her hope, mentioning the procedures is what sparked Jordan’s fury.
Jordan’s vehicle collision almost cost her life. She should be grateful that she survived, but it’s also very natural and normal for her to feel the way she feels.
As Jordan pointed out, reconstructive surgeries can take years to correct someone’s face, which means the woman is well aware of her long road to recovery ahead.
Still, are these feelings Jordan is experiencing due to PTSD, or could it be more? Jordan isn’t just emotional; she’s outraged and truly took things out on Portia and Isaiah.
It feels as if it won’t take long for her to reveal these qualities to loved ones if pushed enough. Will this cause problems for her and Curtis’s romance?
With that said, could the vehicle collision have caused a tumor in her brain to develop? Could there be some neurological imbalance to cause Jordan’s outbursts?
Of course, as Jordan recovers and her loved ones support her, they’ll expect her to have good days and bad days.
Still, will Jordan’s behavior start to raise red flags if it worsens over time? Will someone suspect this is more than just PTSD?
General Hospital spoilers suggest that brain injuries have caused major character upheavals in the past, turning heroes into villains and vice versa, so will Jordan’s personality get darker over time?
