General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may deliver a serious shocker to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) soon enough.
It looks like Sidwell and Sonny are gearing up for a faceoff that’ll bring a long-awaited revelation.
As Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) prepares to break in Wyndemere, she’ll count on Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) to notify Sonny if she doesn’t reach out to them by 8:00 p.m.
However, there could be a problem with that plan since Sonny will get tangled up in a trap on the July 1 episode.
Thanks to Cassius Faison aka “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey), Sidwell will have a chance to flee, but he’ll apparently refuse to leave without a Sonny confrontation.
Sidwell may use ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) as bait since we know her life will be on the line soon.
Regardless, Sonny seems poised to come face to face with Sidwell once again after this trap plays out.
On July 2, GH spoilers suggest Sonny will offer up some info that Sidwell doesn’t see coming.
Sidwell has turned against Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) at this point, but he still doesn’t know Cullum is the one behind Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) fatal attack.
Sonny may drop that knowledge on Sidwell and insist his own partner in crime is responsible.
Sidwell’s alliance with Cullum is what led to Marco’s demise, so Sonny may push Sidwell to look in the mirror if he wants someone to blame.
Sidwell may indeed blame himself on some level, but he’ll certainly hold Cullum responsible, too.
As for Sonny, Sidwell may want to keep the promise he made to Marco about avenging Natalia Ramirez’s (Eva LaRue) death and making Sonny pay, even if the loss wasn’t really his fault.
Of course, we know Sonny will survive the showdown ahead, so it’s just a matter of how he’ll turn the tables on Sidwell and wiggle out of this predicament.
Maybe ADA Turner could play a surprising role in helping Sonny if she escapes a tight spot of her own.
