General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) will likely disown her mom, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), for the umpteenth time, considering the predicament the two have landed in, and she’ll throw her mother under the bus.
There’s no way Willow will take the fall for Nina’s jab blunder, so let’s talk about what happens next in this storyline.
So, let’s rewind a bit. During the Friday, May 8 episode, Willow left Nina one job: to give Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) his daily drug dosage to keep him in his “locked-in” state – and her mom failed miserably.
Nina was about to jab Drew with his “locked-in” meds, but was interrupted by Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
Nina quickly hid the syringe to talk to Brennan, which is when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) arrived on the scene.
Things got intense between Valentin and Brennan as these long-time rivals got into a heated discussion.
The situation turned very ugly – and fast – when Valentin threatened to shoot Brennan, and a physical altercation ensued.
Nina stood to the side, an emotional wreck, not sure what to do to stop Valentin from unaliving Brennan right in front of her.
Thinking on her feet, she went for Drew’s syringe, and it did seem like she was aiming for Valentin but hit Brennan instead.
To make matters worse, it does look like Drew will start to recover during the Monday, May 11 episode, just enough to reach a phone and dial someone; likely 9-1-1.
The General Hospital preview for this week also shows Brennan lying unconscious in a hospital bed, so Drew’s intent may be to save himself and expose Nina and Willow, but his 9-1-1 call will just end up getting medical attention for Brennan.
In addition, the promo shows Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) at Wyndemere, raging on someone as he says, “We have a mess on our hands.”
Brennan getting a dose of Drew’s medication means trouble on so many fronts, and in Nina’s panic, she’s created a tremendous amount of chaos for herself and her daughter.
Nina is desperate to keep her bond with Willow and has been willing to cross all sorts of moral and ethical lines to do so.
At this point, it’s clear that Willow is a bonefide psychopath, and a mother’s job is to help their children, not enable them.
Nina should be seeing how she can get Willow the mental health help she needs, but instead, she is going along with Willow’s horrid schemes.
Unfortunately, this will end up biting Nina hard.
There’s no way Willow is going to do anything to ruin her political career or risk losing her children, so it looks like she’ll be forced to throw Nina under the bus for this massive mistake.
Especially if someone links Brennan’s locked-in state to medication.
Willow doesn’t only have congressional pressures on her back, but she’s also dealing with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) on her heels, waiting for her to fail so he can swoop in and regain custody of their kids.
More importantly, she also has Sidwell to answer to.
Willow has evidence of Nina’s fingerprints on a syringe, so will she set her mom up to take the fall if any suspicion surfaces about the meds being connected to both Brennan and Drew’s locked-in state?
This might be Sidwell’s suggestion, or Willow may come up with the plan all her own.
After all, Nina was the one to inject Brennan, too, so she’ll look as guilty as sin, especially if Willow presents the evidence that way.
General Hospital spoilers note that Nina can’t trust Willow as far as she can throw her, so there’s no doubt that the daughter would betray her mother at the drop of a hat just to save her own skin.
