General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, January 22, indicates that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) will make some big decisions while Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) extends an alibi offer. Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) PCPD fate will also be revealed, so here’s what GH fans can look forward to.
For starters, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will get some troubling updates.
The news about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) stroke may spread and leave Laura worried about how Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) will cope.
Scout will indeed be an emotional wreck over her dad’s medical crisis, so Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will want her granddaughter to move in with her while Drew’s out of commission.
There’ll likely be no set timetable for Drew’s recovery if he recovers at all.
Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) will pass along some upsetting info – at least Willow will have to pretend to be upset about Drew being unable to walk or talk!
Drew might wind up with locked-in syndrome like Lucas mentioned, so Willow may have to decide where he’ll go for long-term care once he’s well enough to transfer.
Willow might send Drew to Turning Woods or another comparable facility in the coming episodes.
In the meantime, Willow will have to decide whether she’ll allow Alexis to take Scout in.
Willow is grateful to Alexis for getting her acquitted, so she might agree Scout belongs in her care.
Of course, it’s possible Willow will want to keep Scout under her roof if she thinks playing stepmother will look good for the visitation case.
That said, Willow does seem to care about Scout and may not want to make this any harder on her than it has to be.
Willow just caused Drew’s stroke, so the least she can do is let Scout live with Grandma Alexis in the aftermath.
Elsewhere, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will give Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) some guidance. When it comes to compromises, Nina will suggest that even good people have to make them sometimes.
Next, Tracy will insist she’ll be Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) alibi for what he did to Drew.
Does Tracy honestly believe “Stone Cold” would do something as subtle as cause Drew’s stroke or is there another explanation?
If Jason were going to wipe Drew off the map, that’s certainly not how he’d do it!
Jason may point out that he hasn’t done anything, but Tracy might reply with a “not yet” or something along those lines.
It’s possible Tracy will push Jason to get sneaky and finish Drew off while he’s incapacitated.
Then again, maybe Tracy will want Jason’s help stealing back the Quartermaine family heirlooms while Drew’s on ice.
Regardless, Tracy may vow to cover for Jason when it comes to past attacks on Drew and whatever else might be in store, too.
At the police station, it looks like Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will officially reinstate Chase, but he may provide a warning, too.
Chase gambled with his job thanks to his Willow fixation, so Dante may push him to do things by the book from now on.
Over with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), she’ll insist she sees Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) true colors.
Carly doesn’t trust Britt with Jason’s heart and will assume she’s going to drag him into trouble.
Britt’s in over her head with all this secret project drama, so Carly’s words may hurt more than she’d like to admit.
Although Britt will try to push Jason away in the coming episodes, he’s going to suspect something’s off.
Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) eyes will bug out when Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) tells her she’s been deactivated.
You can bet Josslyn will object and demand an explanation, but Brennan may not give her much of one.
Brennan may remind Josslyn that she needs to follow orders no questions asked, but that’s just not how she rolls.
When pressed, Brennan may admit it’s not safe for Josslyn to remain an active agent right now – especially when it comes to Spoon Island.
General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn may find a way to stay in the game despite Brennan’s instructions, so stay tuned.
