General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, June 17, reveals that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) pulled off a stunning switch while Scout Cain (temporarily played by Reagan Park) had a medical issue.
Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) also took his hunt for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) home, so here’s how Wednesday’s episode went down.
At the hospital, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) brought Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in for a neurology appointment, which gave him a chance to see Scout with Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) as he was putting ice on her ankle.
Scout had climbed a tree in hopes of pulling off a doorbell prank, but it all went wrong when she hurt herself.
After Scout got examined and X-rayed, she learned her ankle was just twisted and not broken.
Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) scolded Danny for setting a bad example with his own previous tree-climbing escapades, but she later apologized for losing her cool.
Danny blamed himself too, but Scout insisted he was a great big brother and never wanted to be apart from him again.
However, Molly feared that’s what would happen since the restraining order against Danny never actually got lifted.
Willow wasn’t enforcing it, but Molly worried that could change now that Drew and Willow had seen that Scout was injured.
Scout was relayed her own fears to Willow about causing problems for Danny and hoped she hadn’t derailed her plans to stay over at Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place.
Willow offered reassurance and seemed content to let Scout keep spending time with her family.
As for Willow’s meeting with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), that brought concerns since Felicia had arranged for Drew to start communicating.
There was a waitlist for the program and tools, but Felicia was sure the wait would fly by.
Willow had to pretend she was thankful to Felicia for making the arrangements.
After Drew learned he’d be able communicate beyond yes and no answers soon, he blinked once to indicate that he approved and glared at Willow.
When Cullum summoned Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) to Wyndemere, she took Ethan with her for protection.
Cullum played it like he just wanted to thank Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) for the kindness the teen showed him at GH and questioned his whereabouts.
Lulu lied about Rocco’s summer trip to visit family and seemed unnerved as Cullum shook her hand longer than necessary.
After Carly and Valentin wrapped up their time in bed together, Carly brought Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) over to say goodbye to her father.
Charlotte as blindsided and upset over Valentin turning himself in, but he explained why it was necessary and gave her an emotional farewell hug.
Once Cullum got a search warrant for Carly’s place, he rushed in with some WSB agents and found her making cookies with Charlotte.
Carly and Charlotte acted like it was ridiculous for the WSB to think Valentin would be there.
Cullum and his backup agents left after their search for Valentin came up empty, but Carly feared this wasn’t over.
Back at GH, Ethan showed up for a DNA test and flashed back to swiping evidence from the PCPD’s cold case storage room.
Once Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) swabbed Ethan’s check and stepped out, Ethan switched the sample out for another one he’d stolen.
At the Quartermaine estate, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) cornered Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to make him see that he shouldn’t have escalated the situation with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) with an unwarranted arrest.
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Tracy accused Brook Lynn of making herself small for Chase and not being like all the other strong, independent women in the family.
Brook Lynn got upset over Tracy’s outburst, so Tracy softened a bit and apologized for meddling in her granddaughter’s marriage.
Of course, Brook Lynn was secretly focused on her plan to help Chase see Willow in a more negative light.
After Chase met up with Brook Lynn, he filled her in on Dante’s visit and conceded that he may have gone overboard in how he handled Tracy.
Chase was glad Willow declined to press charges and that she was being so helpful regarding Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton).
Brook Lynn played along and embraced Chase, but she remained committed to taking Willow down and protecting her family.
Finally, Lulu tracked Dante down and filled him in on Cullum questioning her about Rocco at Wyndemere.
Dante was pleased that Lulu took Ethan with her and grateful to be on the same page with Lulu about sharing information.
