General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one male character will look a little different the next time fans see him.
Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) recently dropped some hints about a mysterious recast who’s set to debut soon, so let’s talk about who this recast might be.
Burton’s clues came in a recent episode of That’s Awesome, the podcast that he co-hosts with Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli).
Anderson brought up how challenging it can be for recasts since they haven’t been around to play their characters’ rich histories.
That’s when Burton decided to mention someone new who’s joined the cast in a recast role.
After Burton admitted he wasn’t sure if the actor had aired yet, he confirmed he’s already filmed scenes with him.
From the way Burton talked about this person, it seems like he’s kind of a big deal and perhaps a name that fans will recognize.
“He’s been an actor for a long, long time,” Burton said about this new mystery co-star. “He’s been on some primetime shows. He’s done this a long time.”
Burton couldn’t go into the details of what’s ahead, but he admitted this new actor wasn’t really sure of what was happening in the story.
This was a situation where events of the past tied in with the present and affected some of the decisions being made in this particular scene.
As a result, Burton politely offered to explain things and fill in some gaps.
After Burton asked if he could share what was going on and what Jason’s involvement was, this new actor admitted he would love that.
It sounds like this mysterious GH star is willing to learn the soap’s history and take advice from the vets there, so that’s great news.
Of course, plenty of fans have been speculating about which character might be recast. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (last portrayed by Ingo Rademacher) is an option that comes to mind, but so is the villainous Jerry Jacks (last portrayed by Sebastian Roché).
