General Hospital’s Ryan Paevey Hints Cassius NOT Dead, Future Return in the Works

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Z (John Oliver) recently declared that Cassius Faison aka fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was dead, but plenty of viewers just aren’t buying it!

This may be an elaborate fake-out, especially since Ryan Paevey himself offered a clue that Cassius didn’t die in that epic Spoon Island confrontation.

Although Paevey hasn’t made an official statement so far, he did pass along a hint on social media.

Justiceponderinc posted an Instagram story that Paevey decided to repost to his own fans – one that indicated “Only time will tell….” if Cassius is really gone.

That’s exactly the kind of cryptic message someone might want to send if their character appeared to get killed off and was actually still alive.

Paevey may intentionally be offering up some hope to viewers who might be worried about Cassius’ fate.

It feels significant that Paevey isn’t out there giving departure interviews and thanking everyone following his stint’s wrap-up.

Perhaps it’s because we haven’t seen the last of Cassius and all the complexities of his character.

Nathan was a great man, but that unfortunately made him rather boring and didn’t give Paevey a real chance to shine.

That changed when Paevey debuted as Cassius, a criminal twin impersonator who still has a decent heart deep down.

Cassius was given a nice little redemption arc and became a character that fans really wanted to root for in the end.

Since the show already killed off Nathan in such a permanent way, it’d be ridiculous to truly kill off Cassius, too.

The door needs to be left open for Paevey to return for future stints, so maybe that’s exactly what GH writers have done.

After all, we only have Z’s word for it that Cassius is deceased.

Z may be lying and hiding Cassius somewhere, so he could still reenter the picture at some point after he recovers from his injuries.

For now, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has promised to blame Cassius for working with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) on the cold fusion project and make Cullum out to be someone who lost his life heroically trying to stop him.

This will help the WSB avoid a far worse scandal – and Josslyn is getting something out of it too since Z agreed to free Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) along with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

If Cassius indeed lived, he may have a chance to confront Josslyn over her betrayal down the road.

General Hospital spoilers say Ryan Paevey could make an exciting comeback sooner or later, so stick with us for any looming return news!
