In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, Jules has just finished her egg retrieval. Simone was still doing hers. They’ve been on hormones for the past week and Kwon was feeling the pressure. He couldn’t wait for this to be over. Only Kwon was already in trouble at work. He didn’t have to add insensitive to the mix.

He pulled off an illegal procedure and Bailey was hiding it. They couldn’t afford for the government to find out. Or else they might get sued if not jailed. There were just a handful that knew the procedure was done. Bailey’s husband and her mentor. Richard figured it out on his own.

Ben pressured Bailey into telling him. He was supposed to be helping hide it when he got caught up with a patient. His friend and former co-worker at the Seattle Fire Department had fallen through a roof. Maya was covered in burns. She broke her leg in the fall. They had to decide which to fix first. Ben came up with a radical idea of starting the debriding while they fixed Maya’s leg. Maya was a great firefighter.

She was even more worried about her probie than she was about herself. The probie was fine. He just got a nasty cut. It was Maya in worse shape.

Jules was fixing up the probie when she heard about where the fire was. It was at a certain hotel that Jules just booked so that she can finally have alone time with Winston. Now, its burned down. They have to find a new place and it’s a big deal because they still haven’t slept together yet.

Winston did wonder why they couldn’t just use his place. Jules told him that the hotel would’ve provided breakfast, tv, and whatever else they needed. She was a big hung up on that so she really would’ve preferred another hotel.

Thankfully, they couldn’t discuss their relationship openly at work. He was still her superior after all. He also just broke up with one of the nurses and so they were doing their best to keep it low-key. They both had patients anyways. Winston’s patient had a chandelier at an arts exhibit fall on him.

It punctured his heart, but he absolutely demanded that they not destroy the sculpture as they get it out of him. He said his wife was a huge fan. They went on their first date to that museum and stood under that sculpture as they fell in love. She was gone now. And he didn’t want to destroy something she loved.

The museum agreed with him because they wanted the sculpture back. The surgeons tried to preserve it. They really did. They took the patient into the OR. They tried to remove the sculpture and it was a spiral thing in honor of the son. It had gotten trapped under the rib.

They were forced to cut it. Lucas also noticed something was off with Simone. He noticed it during surgery. Her doctor’s appointment took a little longer than normal. Lucas checked in with her for probably the first time since Katie died and she lied. She said she was alright.

He later checked in with her again after surgery. She told him that they couldn’t retrieve an egg this month. They suggested that she might try next month, but her doctor said that it was going to be hard. Her body just doesn’t produce that many viable eggs. Simone cried about it afterwards.

She was at the bar across the street when Lucas saw her again. He was picking up food. He stopped by her. He asked again and that time she didn’t lie. She told him everything. Lucas and she grabbed drinks. They ate the food. They somehow managed to sleep together again.

Owen meanwhile spoke with the patient. They thought Morris’s wife had passed away. It turns out she was long-term care because she has dementia. He just wanted to remember things for the both of them and he admitted she wouldn’t notice if the sculpture was gone.

It made Owen think of the good things with Teddy. He was therefore blindsided when she told him she received a job offer in Paris. He got mad at her. He yelled at her. He felt bad about it the next day and he had called her to tell her that he was sorry when she overheard the crash. The bridge he was on had collapsed.

Owen wasn’t the only victim because Nick was on the bridge too.

Then there was Bailey. Bailey told Richard that it was her that injected the hydrogel into the patient. Richard soon figured out it was Kwon and he fired him. He has no room for anymore cowboys. He was done. He also suspended Bailey even as Ben who did pull off a cowboy stuff with Maya in surgery was rewarded.

Ben has officially become a Plastics Fellow under Toni Wright. The same doctor considering her relationship with Amelia. There was so much going on yet people were still focused on their love lives. Even Jules the sensible still was focused on Winston.

She thought the hotel burning down was an omen. It was merely bad luck. Jules and Winston still got together and everything worked out for them.

Time will tell if the same was the case for Owen and Teddy.

THE END!
