General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that the internet is still buzzing over the announcement that Kate Mansi is exiting her Kristina Corinthos-Davis role.
Now the actress is hinting that she has some massive news on the horizon, and CDL has all the details!
On the evening of Sunday, May 24, a report was released that Mansi was leaving the ABC soap after playing Kristina since 2023.
The actress posted the news article on her Instagram story, followed by a photo of a balcony/patio at night, with the moon showing.
The caption on the IG Story read, “Goodnight, London moon. More to discuss tmrw …”
First thing the morning of Monday, May 25, Mansi uploaded a video to her Instagram Story.
It showed her in a car, driving somewhere, with sunglasses on and a smile. The caption stated, “Some exciting news to share soon!”
As per reports, Mansi was not fired from General Hospital; rather, she decided against renewing her contract with the show.
While Mansi has stated the decision to leave GH was ‘difficult’, she pointed to travel as a factor in her decision to exit.
After all, her husband, Matt McInnis, is a producer who is currently filming a TV series overseas.
In addition, Mansi commented that she now has time to focus on other projects, too.
Are these ‘other projects’ the “exciting news” she plans on sharing with fans, soon?
Mansi debuted as the Kristina recast three years ago, taking over for fan favorite Lexie Ainsworth, who had played the part since 2009.
Still, before that, Mansi was a fan favorite in her own right on Days of Our Lives, playing Abigail Deveraux DiMera.
DOOL was Mansi’s first job in daytime, entering the role in 2011, only to exit in 2016.
Mansi returned to the Peacock show once again as Abigail from 2018 to 2020.
During her time on Days, the actress earned two Daytime Emmys in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Could Mansi’s big announcement about her newest venture mean going back to her old stomping ground in Salem? Only time will tell.
