The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers indicate that Melissa Dylan’s (Sydney Bullock) family is expanding on the CBS soap.
Multiple sources confirm that Kelly Sullivan has joined the show and will be making her debut as Dylan’s mom, Darcy Dylan, in the very near future.
Sullivan started filming on August 4, so she’ll make her first official appearance as Darcy on August 27.
Remy Pryce (Christian Weissmann) was revealed as Dylan’s cousin in recent months, but viewers have been wondering when her parents might pop up.
Now B&B’s adding Dylan’s mother to the mix, so this is certainly exciting news.
Kelly Sullivan will be a familiar face to many soap fans since she previously played Kate Howard and her alternate personality, Connie Falconeri, on General Hospital from 2011 to 2014.
From there, Sullivan landed at The Young and the Restless, where she portrayed Sage Warner from 2014 to 2016.
You might also recognize Sullivan from other film and TV projects like The Morning Show, Dirty John, Chicago P.D., The Winchesters, Never Have I Ever and more.
Between Sullivan’s soap experience and all the talent she brings to the table, she seems like a great choice to play Dylan’s mom.
Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) has been coming after Dylan pretty hard, so Darcy may show off her protective side once she comes to town.
Darcy and Katie could have a rivalry in the works, so that could bring some fun drama following Sullivan’s debut.
However, Darcy and Dylan might have some conflict coming up as well if she’s a controlling mom who perhaps doesn’t approve of some of the moves her daughter’s making.
We could imagine Dylan clashing with Darcy depending on how this storyline plays out.
