In tonight’s NCIS episode, a woman was involved in plane crash. She used the radio to call for help. She got some Park Rangers. Naval Lieutenant Rebecca Lee identified herself as well as stated everyone else was dead. Apparently, this plane has been missing for the past six months.

It was supposed to go to Haiti for humanitarian efforts. It went down over the Appalachian mountains. It was so of course that it was a miracle anyone survived and so Rebecca was lucy. She was perhaps too lucky. There were questions about the crash. The Department of NTSB investigated what caused it and they suspected it was shot down while still over American soil.

NCIS got brought into this because NTSB doesn’t investigate possible terrorist attacks. Neither did NCIS. Not unless one of the victims happened to be Navy and such was the case with Rebecca. Rebecca was a Navy Public Affairs Officer. She was in Haiti helping with the rescue efforts after another hurricane.

She wasn’t even supposed to be on the flight that went down. There was a seat that opened up. Rebecca agreed to take it at the last minute. She was later cleared by a medical team. She wanted to assist with the investigation so they asked her questions.

Rebecca admitted she was a nervous flier. She spent most of the time filming out of the window. She didn’t know anything was wrong until she heard the first explosion and it was soon followed by another. Possibly even a third one. Rebecca couldn’t fully recall and she was dealing with some leftover trauma.

She remembered getting knocked out in the crash. She was still in her seat and so she looked for the others. They were all gone. She then sought shelter. She took supplies. She managed to survive on her own for six months all the while tinkering with the radio.

The radio eventually worked. Its how she was able to call for help, but Rebecca was suffering from PTSD. She was struggling with reentry into civilian life, She couldn’t sleep in the bed because it felt wrong. She ordered a bunch of food then couldn’t eat it because her appetite came and went.

he gave them a map of where her shelter was. Only there was a problem. Special Agents Knight and Torres followed the directions and they found the body of the sixth passenger. NTSB found an extra foot in the downed plane. Rebecca didn’t know whose was it. Kasie had to check the plate in the foot.

The foot belonged to Cyrus Fox. He was an international arms dealer. There’s no reason he should’ve been on a flight delivering aide rather than weapons. A man like Cyrus Fox has plenty of enemies. It could explain why someone sabotaged the plane. It wasn’t a missile that brought it down. Kasie determined that someone hacked the GPS. They purposely put them off course and had them believe that they were flying lower than expected. They wanted the flight to combust from the extra fuel. And d that’s what happened.

Torres and Knight found the rest of the body. It was located close to Rebecca’s shelter. She must’ve seen the body. She admitted to burying the four other men. Did she bury Fox too?

If so, why did she never mention him in the several interviews she had with NCIS? It wasn’t long after they found the rest of Fox that someone began firing at the two agents in the woods. They hid and found Rebecca’s shelter. They looked for the camera she had. It was missing the SD card. The agents were out there for nothing and they weren’t the only ones complaining.

They found the guy shooting at them. They questioned him. He said he was paid to find the cave where Rebecca hid and collect a camera. He was on the same goose chase as the agents. His name is Max Kendrick. He was hired online. He never met the employer. He also didn’t try to kill federal agents.

He just tried to scare them off so that he could look for the camera without anyone seeing. It didn’t look good for Rebecca because she was on the run. They later found her at a train station. She ran not because she killed Fox. It was because she loved him.

They fell in love after the crash. Cyrus got sick. He was dying so he killed himself so that Rebecca would leave without him. He wanted to protect his family. Rebecca was pregnant and it turns out Fox told her everything about his business because he was on the flight about to testify for the CIA.

She was afraid who brought down the plane would harm her and her baby. That’s why she ran. There was no need for it. Fox recorded a message detailing all of his business transactions. He did it so that his family would know how much he loved them.

The camera also helped them find out who brought down the plane. The person was Rebecca’s producer and her supposed friend. He was arrested. The CIA still got to make several cases. And Rebecca was free to begin again with her baby.

What went unsaid was that the fact that Torres and Knight cuddled to stay warm or that McGee was only participating in the baseball league as a means of getting close to his teenage son Mateo, but eventually McGee realized he should share his interests with Mateo and the others will take their secret to the grave.

THE END!
