In tonight’s NCIS episode, there was a new director in town. Director Tony DiNozzo barely had a day in office when someone accidentally triggered the biohazard alarm. It might’ve been Tony himself.
Tony also has to deal with a dinner party that went awry on tonight’s all new episode. This lovely couple were throwing a dinner party at their home.
The wife, Linda Fenwick, left to go get more wine. She came back to find the entire table passed out and it wasn’t long after that she noticed a group of armed people breaking in. She hid in the pantry. She was almost found. She heard one of them coming towards her until he abruptly left with the other guys.
Linda couldn’t identify them. They wore masks. They had on full tactical gear. They were in and out of that house in ninety-six seconds. They were efficient. Scarily so.
They had to be mercenaries. They also didn’t appear to have taken anything. NCIS got involved because one of the victims happened to be Naval Intelligence Officer Mallory DeWitt. They thought she could be the true target of the attack. Mallory had hit her head on the centerpiece after she got knocked out. She had to be rushed to the hospital once Linda called 911.
Mallory’s phone was left at the scene. Everyone’s phone had been left behind. There was nothing missing in the house nor was anything added. It seemed odd and it wasn’t the only thing because three guests at the dinner party went home to start bonfires in their backyards. They mostly burnt documents.
There were some fingernails in there as well. NCIS asked them to come in. The three refused to talk without lawyers. The only ones cooperating were the Fenwicks. The Fenwicks are disgustingly in love.
They’ve been married for five years. Yet, they were still in the newlywed phase. They talked about everything. They do most stuff together. She thought her husband was just running a shipping company.
It wasn’t until Greg disappeared that things didn’t look so perfect in their perfect marriage. Greg was later found in a ravine. He died of an apparent heart attack. Linda thought it was a coincidence. It hadn’t been. Greg once hid a key from her and it was found in his butt during the autopsy. He clearly didn’t want that found.
It was later revealed to unlock a storage container. The one that was full of body parts hidden in jars. There was no sane reason for that room. They were worried that Greg was a serial killer at first. It proved with time that he wasn’t. It was pig eyeballs. Those eyeballs carried enzymes and it can be used to create opioids. Poor Linda found her husband might be a serial killer. She was heavily sedated by her therapist as a result of it and so no one wanted to tell her that Greg was a drug dealer.
Tony gave the team a clue on how to find the car that was following Greg. They tracked down the car as well as who was driving it. Mr. Moody was a former drug dealer that was now working under the table for a drug company
. This same company was missing a formula. He claimed that a drug formula was stolen from the company by a research tech and that he joined up with friends to sell it. The research was worth thirty billion dollars. Greg was shipping it and it wasn’t killed over it. They stole back the formula from him two weeks ago.
Now, Kasie was told by Tony to lean into her weird. She did that. She checked the smart vacuum cleaner. She found out that it had been hacked by Mervin Dorf. He also goes by “Dead Drop”.
He was hired to hack a bunch of smart devices. He did that and he won’t face repercussions because terms of service on those things has a bunch of loopholes. He had video from the dinner party. He gave it to NCIS who learned that it was the CIA that was illegally acting on American soil. They hired the hacker to hack everyone in a certain zip code.
There were foreign intelligence operators working in the US. The CIA was told to track them down. They tracked down Greg. Greg had been one of them and the other had been his wife.
His wife killed him by the way. She did it because she couldn’t believe he’d jeopardize the mission by trying to make a quick buck with their friends. She thought that’s why people broke into the house. She blamed her husband for it and murdered him. She should’ve have gotten arrested, but they wanted to find out who was behind her and let her lead them to her handler.
Tony’s leadership style was different compared to Vance and that’s okay because he was finding his way.
And while this case will be buried for a time, they will get Linda. Linda Fenwick wasn’t even her real name. She wasn’t actually married to Greg. She can’t maintain that lie of a life forever.
THE END!
