In tonight’s NCIS: Syndey, the body of Ensign Curits Lee fell from the sky. Yes, he fell from an overpass onto a garden pike in the back of some florists’ truck. The pike wasn’t what killed him.
He was dead before he went over. Doc Rosie even found drag marks on him. Curtis’s killer wanted it to look like he killed himself. There was a paternity test found on him showing he was the father.
It didn’t list the mother’s name. Nor did it list contact information. NCIS’s Sydney office caught this case and they had no clue how to find the mother.
Curtis was Navy. They went to his ship. They spoke with the two women serving alongside him. They were the only women onboard. They were asked about Curtis’s love life.
They both said they didn’t know Curtis was dating anyone. Only they checked Curtis’s bunk. They found out his girlfriend was thirty-five weeks because of the ultrasound.
They thought she must be too far along to hide. They found out that Curtis rented an apartment. They went there. It smelled like bleach. There was Champagne. There was a message in rose petals on the bed asking to marry him.
Curtis wanted to make things work with the baby’s mother. Only something went wrong that night. He never got to propose and instead his neighbors overheard arguing.
They checked the last person he called from the apartment. It was somebody by the name of Alicia Williams. She was married to David Williams. He was Australian military.
The couple were throwing a baby shower for the little girl they were having. NCIS spoke to the couple. They were thirty-five weeks. And that’s when they came up with a theory.
They believed that Alicia had an affair with Curtis. David found out about it. He killed Curtis to keep his family. This theory didn’t match up with certain facts.
Like the fact the couple has been trying IVF for years. They were also landlords to one of the officers on Curtis’s ship. Her name is Chloe Simpson.
She claimed that she was only good friends with Curtis and it looked like she began crying since she found out he was murdered. Both Alicia and David seemed protective of Chloe. They wouldn’t let her talk to NCIS because they said she was too fragile.
NCIS took them at their word. They left. They found out that Curtis went with Alicia and Chloe to the couple’s vacation house exactly thirty-five weeks ago. David didn’t make the trip because he was working.
This seemed to prove their theory at first. David was taken from the apartment to the overpass wrapped up in drop cloth. The drop cloth was also covered in yellow paint.
It was the same as the one that David used when he painted the nursery yellow. NCIS felt they had enough so they went to go arrest him and only then did they learn the truth.
Alicia wasn’t pregnant. She tried IVF for years. She has had nine miscarriages. They finally turned to surrogacy and they hid that from everyone because the age limit was twenty-five in Australia.
Chloe was only twenty-one. They technically broke the law when they hired her to act as a surrogate. What they didn’t expect was that Chloe would sleep with Curtis in that timeframe. She got pregnant.
It was just by Curtis. The baby she was carrying was her own and not Alicia’s. Alicia has been through so much that she didn’t react well when she found out the little girl wasn’t hers.
That’s what the call was about. Curtis found out it was his baby. He told Alicia and she killed him to protect the secret. She didn’t want Chloe keeping the child even if it was biologically Chloe’s.
Alicia still wanted the baby. She killed Curtis. It was a probably an accident because Curtis was killed by falling into the corner of the table. It was the clean up and disposal of the body that Alicia was guilty of.
NCIS put it all together when David told them about the surrogacy. They then looked for both Alicia as well as Chloe because both were missing.
Chloe was a midwife. She claimed to be working on the night Curtis was killed, but they spoke to the hospital and the hospital thought this was about a missing incubator.
Alicia also stole some medication to induce labor. She gave it to Chloe. Chloe was in labor and they were all worried about what Alicia would do to her or the baby if the fantasy falls apart.
NCIS later found them at the vacation house. By then, Chloe had already given birth to a healthy baby girl. Alicia was claiming the baby was hers so the first thing Mackey demanded was that the baby goes to it actually mother.
They found enough evidence to show that Alicia killed Curtis. They managed to confront her in a way without leading her to harm the child. Alicia revealed it all. She said it was an accident. Which they will take into account during trial. The same way they would that she threw a baby shower the day after murdering someone.
Or that she induced Chloe. Chloe didn’t think she was ready to be a mother and she was willing to let the couple adopt her child when she found out it was her own. Things were different now.
Chloe decided to keep the baby. She doesn’t know how she’s going to do it alone only Mackey gave her the courage to try.
Later, two people broke into NCIS Headquarters wearing masks. They took Blue hostage. They probably would’ve killed her if Trigger hadn’t showed back up.
He was worried that Blue would forget about dinner. It turns out that someone has been hacking them and when that didn’t give them what they wanted – they tried to old-fashioned way.
Trigger managed to hold them off long enough for Blue to press the emergency button. The masked men ran off and the rest of the team showed up. Mackey also noticed that those men took a photo of her son that she keeps in her desk drawer.
THE END!
