The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may make a bold move for Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) sake.
Matt’s attempt to keep Phyllis away could lead to her taking drastic action to force a reunion.
Y&R fans know Matt left Genoa City with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and hoped he could convince her to surrender to the cops.
That plan went awry since Patty clutched the steering wheel and caused Matt to crash the car.
Matt’s head injury somehow managed to jostle all the bad thoughts back into existence, so now he’s dealing with some serious inner turmoil.
It’s clear that if Matt doesn’t get a grip on this wicked version of himself, it’s going to take over and lead to people getting hurt.
That’s why despite all the stunts Matt’s pulled in the past, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) still wants to get him some help.
Based on Sharon’s dialogue in the October 14 episode, Sharon is determined to get Matt evaluated in a mental health clinic.
Sharon’s therapist background obviously gives her plenty of connections and strings she can pull if need be.
If Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) can keep Matt from going off the rails long enough to check him in a psychiatric facility, then Sharon will make sure it’s a good one.
Although Matt won’t want Phyllis to see him in his current state, Phyllis may hear about his clinic stay anyway.
Sharon may feel like Phyllis deserves to know Matt is alive and trying to get better.
Sharon might even think it would help Matt if Phyllis could show him some encouragement.
Phyllis has believed in Matt more than anyone else, so her support could be exactly what he needs to get through this.
However, Matt could shut himself off to the world and try to turn Phyllis away.
Assuming that Matt indeed lands at a psychiatric facility somewhere, he may reject Phyllis’ visit and hope she’ll just keep living her life without him.
Since Phyllis isn’t the type to accept defeat, she might sneak in Matt’s clinic and try to force a visit if she has to.
Phyllis may do whatever it takes to see Matt again and give him an emotional pep talk.
No matter how it all plays out, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis could have some difficult Matt news in her future.
