The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Donna Logan Forrester (Jennifer Gareis) is hoping to convince Eric Forrester (John McCook) to forgive her and move past her deception, but she hasn’t been successful so far.
Some fans feel like Donna could use a romantic reset since Eric isn’t being fair or trying to understand her perspective.
Donna is still paying the price for keeping her mouth shut about Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) new hire and the fact that Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) was gearing up for her Logan line.
However, Donna was in a difficult position since Katie swore her sister to secrecy.
If Donna had betrayed Katie and spilled to Eric, you can bet he would’ve blabbed to his family and ruined Hope’s surprise debut.
In other words, if Donna had come clean, she would’ve been sabotaging her beloved sister’s fashion house.
Donna also would’ve hurt her niece since Hope was tangled up in all this, too.
It was an impossible situation for Donna, who hates that she hurt Eric by hiding things from him.
It’s true that Eric is Donna’s husband and that he deserves her loyalty, but she ultimately felt she had to keep Hope’s big news to herself.
Of course, we should point out that Eric was in Hope’s shoes not too long ago.
Since Eric felt cast aside and underappreciated at Forrester Creations, he created a new collection at Logan.
Donna knew what was happening at the time and had to keep secrets back then as well.
Eric later regretted his Logan move and tried to wiggle out of the new arrangement, but that doesn’t change what went down.
More so than anyone, Eric should have sympathy for Hope and understand where she’s coming from.
Likewise, Eric should get that Donna was in a tight spot – just like the tight spot she was in when Eric was secretly working for Katie.
Instead, Donna is stuck groveling to Eric, who is now complaining about the strain on his marriage.
Eric is being a stubborn hypocrite considering his own past storyline, so some fans feel like Donna deserves better!
Should Donna get another love interest who’ll be less judgmental and more compassionate?
Donna could easily fall for a new man or perhaps fall back into bed with a former flame like Justine Barber (Aaron D. Spears).
There would be some good options for Donna if B&B allowed her to split from Eric and move on.
