The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Genoa City will get a little more mysterious once August gets underway.
That’s because someone new is coming to town who’ll shake things up and spark some questions about her past.
Jade Harlow may look familiar to some soap fans due to previous roles on Passions, Days of Our Lives and The Bay.
Now Harlow has joined Y&R as a mystery woman named Marie Kirkland, who’ll make her debut on Monday, August 10.
Not much is known about Marie just yet other than she has a complex history.
Marie will apparently be running from her past since she’ll hope to settle down in GC for a new beginning.
Of course, fresh starts aren’t always easy on soaps!
The past tends to catch up with most characters sooner or later, so it’s probably just a matter of time until Marie’s history comes back to haunt her.
Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see if Marie might see a familiar face or two once she arrives in GC.
Marie may not expect to reconnect with someone she’s known before, but it could easily happen.
Then again, it’s possible Marie will seek someone out, especially if there’s somebody who could help her escape whatever she’s running from.
There might be a character Marie used to know who’ll feel blindsided by her arrival.
Whatever the case, the show’s being rather cryptic about Marie and her past, so it could all tie into a big storyline eventually.
Jade Harlow’s role is recurring, so she’ll be making multiple appearances and could potentially find love with someone if she sticks around long enough.
That said, with a writing transition on the horizon, perhaps fans shouldn’t get too attached to Marie!
This feels like the kind of character who could be written out just as quickly as she came in once another head writer takes over for departing Josh Griffith.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jade Harlow’s August debut will bring some excitement in the meantime, so stick with us for more news on Marie Kirkland.
