The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, May 1, reveals that there’ll be proof that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) survived his showdown with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), who’ll be an emotional wreck back in Genoa City.
At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, she’ll gently question Sienna about what she remembers.
Sienna will recap her attempt to get through to Matt before the explosion, but things will get blurry when it comes to their confrontation that happened outside the car.
Although Sienna will remember Matt chasing her through the desert and eventually being sprawled out on the ground, she won’t recall the details.
Sharon will wonder if Sienna checked for a pulse, but Sienna will keep insisting he was dead.
Since Matt hasn’t turned up deceased yet, Sharon will obviously have some doubts about him being gone for good.
Sienna will eventually decide all these questions are too much for her, so she’ll rush out of the cottage before Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) runs after her.
At the Newman ranch, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will talk to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about Sienna collapsing in Vegas after insisting she killed Matt.
Sienna was taken to a hospital there before being brought back to GC.
Victor will also inquire about Nick’s health, so Nick will break down in tears as he explains how he got hooked on fentanyl.
Some of that’s on Matt, but Nick will take responsibility for his part in letting his addiction spiral out of control.
Adam will pipe up about Nick getting treatment in an outpatient facility and going to meetings.
Nick will praise Adam for all his help and will assure Victor that he’s going to get better, so Victor will hug him and trust his son on that.
As for the incriminating emails that have surfaced against Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Nick will doubt their legitimacy.
Victor won’t admit anything, but he’ll act like it doesn’t matter since his company was stolen and he intends to get it back.
At the cottage again, Nick eventually speak with Sharon, who’ll worry she pushed Sienna too hard.
There’ll be lingering questions about Matt and whether he’s really gone for good.
Somewhere in the desert on Friday’s Y&R episode, Matt will be seen on the ground with a head wound before he opens his eyes.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will hand over the incriminating emails against Phyllis, so Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will point out that Cane and Billy are implicated in all this.
Victoria will minimize Billy’s role, but she’ll also act like she’s fine with letting the chips fall where they may – even when it comes to the father of her children.
At the GCAC, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will admit that if he represents Phyllis, Victor will consider it a major betrayal.
That’s why Michael will still be mulling over his options, but Phyllis and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will push him to be on Phyllis’ side.
Michael will suggest Phyllis should take a plea deal or even see if a deal with Victor is still on the table.
Since Michael went behind Phyllis’ back to try and negotiate an agreement, she won’t be happy about that.
Phyllis will eventually realize Michael is still on Team Victor as far as she’s concerned, so she’ll plan to find a new attorney to lead her legal team and stomp off.
Lauren will also lash out at Michael and accuse him of not being able to let Victor go.
Back at the ranch, Victoria will spread the news about the evidence being in Christine’s hands.
