Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will have a chance to weigh in after Nick makes a huge decision.
Although Nick’s made some bad choices in recent months due to his addiction, he’s turned a corner and hopes to make some better ones.
Nick indeed made the right call when he summoned Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to come take him back to rehab following his horrible ordeal with Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow).
It was a terrible idea for Nick to check himself out of the clinic for Victor and Nikki’s vow renewal when his recovery was still so fragile.
It would’ve been better for Nick to skip it and concentrate on his addiction battle, but what’s done is done.
Nick sank to another low point, so now he seems truly committed to staying on the right track.
That’s why Victor and Nikki will have some concerns once Nick apparently ditches rehab once again.
In a new Access Hollywood interview with Eric Braeden, an upcoming scene leaked that shows Victor and Nikki with Nick at the ranch.
Victor can be heard asking how the clinic felt about Nick leaving.
Of course, it sounds like the circumstances will be different this time around.
Nick won’t be hiding his rehab exit, so this seems like a situation where he believes he’s truly ready to return to his regular life.
Nikki and Victor may worry about Nick bailing on the clinic too soon, but he may promise that his doctors have signed off and agree with him on this.
Nick may acknowledge that he’ll have to work every day to keep his inner demons at bay, but he’ll hope things can start getting back to normal.
Nick won’t want to be away from Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson) any longer than he has to be, so that’ll motivate him to put the work in ahead of his next rehab departure.
Although Nick still has some drug dealer drama coming up based on other behind-the-scenes info, let’s hope he can put this whole addiction story in the rearview mirror soon.
