The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) have taken the plunge together in a storyline that’s sure to have consequences down the road.
Although Victoria and Kyle aren’t really thinking about those consequences yet, their secret is obviously doomed to blow up.
Michael Mealor spoke to SOD about that in a new interview and explained that Kyle is operating from a place of “pure lust.”
This is a case of Kyle finding an unexpected spark with Victoria now that he’s seeing some attractive qualities he didn’t see before.
Victoria feels the same way and has been enjoying the flirty competition along with Kyle.
According to Mealor, Kyle and Victoria appreciate the fact that they can both give as good as they get.
“‘I finally found someone that can kind of match my freak, if you will,’” Mealor said as he got inside his Y&R character’s headspace.
Mealor also discussed how this seductive situation with Victoria is waking up a dormant part of Kyle.
There’s this “darker side of Kyle that loves the danger,” so Mealor thinks Kyle likes that it’s been reactivated.
Now that Kyle is heading into more sinister territory again, Mealor suggested it could come out in ways that don’t relate to Victoria, too.
There’ll be times when Kyle could let that side of him spill over into business and even his family life.
Although Victoria and Kyle tried to convince themselves they could stop after just one romp, they’ll ultimately surrender to temptation again and again.
Sneaking around together will actually be part of the appeal for Kyle and Victoria as this story moves forward.
This will become less about stopping what they’re doing and more about how the duo can keep it under wraps.
“Because the one rule is, if this is going to happen, no one can ever find out. And isn’t that the kiss of death on soaps?” Mealor teased.
As for where the story will end up, Michael Mealor acknowledged that he can’t be sure about that.
Victoria and Kyle don’t have love on their minds at all right now, but Mealor didn’t rule out the possibility of them catching feelings.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Victoria’s storyline will definitely get messy, so stay tuned to watch them try to prevent any scandalous news from leaking.
