The Young and the Restless Monday, August 24 Recap: Victor Kicks Jack Off the Ranch

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, August 24, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will refuse to listen to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and will send his rival away.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will also make a phone call that surprises Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and leaves her eager to see him.

At Jabot, Nikki will stop by to see Jack, but he’ll think maybe they should keep their distance for the sake of her marriage – at least for now.

Nikki will refuse to stand for that, especially since she’ll want Jack to help Nick with his recovery.

Jack will be happy to be there as a sponsor or friend, but he’ll make it clear that it has to be Nick’s decision.

Nikki will wish Nick would start seeing his loved ones again and will eventually get her wish when he calls to ask if she’ll visit.

In the meantime, Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will pop up and help Nick do a puzzle at the clinic.

Marie will talk about getting into another fight with her husband and finding out she lost her job as a waitress.

Although Marie reached for pills again, she remembered Nick’s speech at the recent meeting and ultimately decided to check herself in rehab.

Nick will make it clear that Marie has a friend and will be glad they’re both making better choices.

Later, Nick will reunite with Nikki and admit he’s been dreading seeing his loved ones.

It’ll be hard for Nick to look his family members in the eye since he’s been lying and letting them all down.

However, Nikki will offer reassurance and make Nick promise that he won’t come back home until he’s sure he’s on solid ground in his recovery.

At Crimson Lights, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will speak with Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) about his dilemma since Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) made him a tempting offer while Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) hasn’t offered anything too concrete.

If Billy takes over Chancellor like he plans, Holden’s career could really take off.

That said, Holden will wrestle with how that would affect his relationship with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and acknowledge that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) doesn’t trust Billy.

Stephanie will feel confident that Holden has good instincts and will encourage him to get honest with Lily about the situation he’s stuck in.

At Lily’s penthouse, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will question why Lily is so determined to fight for Chancellor and will wonder if this is about not letting Cane lose his spot there.

Y&R spoilers say Lily will dismiss that idea and stand her ground when it comes to going up against Billy.

Once Holden arrives, he’ll speak with Lily alone and explain that Billy has made him an offer.

Lily will warn Holden that Billy would be a terrible mentor and that he’s only going to crash and burn.

If Holden accepts this offer, he’ll just go down with Billy as far as Lily’s concerned.

After Lily pushes Holden to side with his family, that’s indeed what he’ll decide to do.

Once Nate meets up with Stephanie at the GCAC, they’ll discuss his scheduled surgery and how he’s looking forward to hopefully returning to work at Memorial since it’s home.

Finally, Jack will make his way to the ranch to speak with Victor about helping Nick.

Victor will refuse to allow it and will add that he’ll never forget Jack’s night of debauchery with Nikki.

Jack will feel like they need to put their animosity aside for Nick’s sake since he understands what Victor’s son is going through.

Nevertheless, Victor won’t want Jack involved and will push him to get out!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will keep working on his recovery, so stay tuned for more news on his progress.
