General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, August 21, reveals that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) refused to admit defeat.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) also had his first day at Pentonville, so here’s how Friday’s GH episode played out.
After Curtis hit the sheets with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) one last time and took her to Aurora for a meeting with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), they said their goodbyes ahead of his prison sentence.
Next, Curtis had a final bonding session with Desmond Ashford (Yirah Aviah Lafond) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) before reporting to Pentonville.
After Curtis surrendered his belongings and entered the system as a prisoner, he donned a beige jumpsuit and looked distraught as he was locked in his cell.
Sonny also visited Sidwell at Pentonville, where Sidwell wondered if Sonny might arrange for an “accident” to cut his time in prison short.
After Sonny denied it, he gloated about what he’d score in the upcoming asset auction.
Sidwell seemed skeptical that Sonny could actually go legit now that he was making that effort.
As Sonny stood up to leave, Sidwell insisted this wasn’t over.
Sonny replied that it looked over to him and clearly thought Sidwell was finished now that he was stuck behind bars.
In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, she gave Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) some instructions since he was going to watch over her place while she was in Ireland.
Rocco admitted he was hanging out with Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) behind Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) back, which Laura understood.
However, if Drew ever directly warned Rocco to stay away from Scout, Laura advised him to follow orders since Drew was a very vindictive man.
Later, Laura and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) had a conversation about romance, which led to Lulu opening up about what a violation the whole Cassius Faison aka fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) situation had been.
Lulu eventually wondered if Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had been her one chance at love, but she assured Laura that their romantic relationship was a thing of the past.
Lulu didn’t want Lulu to give up on the idea of finding love again and gave her a pep talk.
After Scout summoned Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) to the Quartermaine boathouse to spend time together behind Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) back, he worried it was a bad idea.
Scout acted like Drew left her no choice, but she lashed out when Danny made disparaging comments about her dad.
Danny apologized before Scout dove in the lake for more long-distance swim practice.
Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) showed up and brainstormed with Danny about how they could set Drew up for something scandalous, but Rocco overheard and worked to shut down that plan.
Charlotte suggested Rocco was right and acted like they were dropping it, but she ultimately told Danny she just wanted her brother to think that.
At the Metro Court pool, Drew spoke to Ava Jerome (Maura West) about their Sonny takedown scheme before she tried to hurry him off since Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was coming.
Drew asked to stay since he wanted to give Portia an apology and indeed gave her one once she showed up.
After Portia acknowledged that she couldn’t be certain of Drew’s sincerity, she thought it was best to just stay out of each other’s way.
Drew eventually headed to Aurora, where he pushed for peace with Michael and hoped to get more involved at the company again.
Michael tried to shut Drew down, but he deferred to new CEO Jordan when she thought they should grant Drew’s request.
Drew knew the company well, so Jordan suggested they could give him another chance.
Once Drew left, Jordan admitted to Michael this was a “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” situation.
Back at the pool, Portia found out Ava was plotting with Drew and made it clear that he couldn’t be trusted.
After Portia encouraged Ava to support Trina now that Curtis was going to prison, Ava insisted she’d be there for Portia as well.
