The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, September 14, reveals that Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) scheme will fool Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), so he’ll hope she won’t be able to resist making a move.
At Society, Jack will continue faking his medical episode with the help of Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
There’ll also be some off-duty paramedics in on the plan along with Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) and the cops he’ll have stationed at every corner of the hospital.
Once Jack is indeed hospitalized following his faux heart attack, he’ll assure Diane that Patty will take the bait and come to see him.
The goal will be for Burrow and his officers to grab Patty before she can inflict any more damage.
At Crimson Lights, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will meet with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and ask him to use Newman Media to play up Patty’s Jack obsession in their escape story.
Sally will explain Jack’s plan and get Adam on board with reporting the fake medical drama.
Since Sally will need Adam’s help to make the story go viral and ensure that Patty sees it, he’ll give her a “hell, yeah” on helping take Patty down.
After the story’s published, Adam will fill Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in on Jack’s scheme at the Newman ranch.
Victor will hint about exploiting Patty’s fixation, but Adam will push him to let it go and avoid rocking the boat with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Even so, Victor will pressure Adam to keep him in the loop on any of the moves Patty makes.
Sally will also join Kyle and Billy at Jabot, where they’ll discuss putting the story out there and hope that Patty can be stopped before she hurts anyone else.
At the Riverbank Motel, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will guess Patty was the one wearing that awful perfume and the woman who left her sunglasses in Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) room.
After Phyllis realizes she’s right, she’ll demand answers about Patty’s escape and what she told Matt.
Once Matt explains how it all went down, Phyllis will push him to trust her over Patty and have faith in his own transformation.
Phyllis will start to call the police, but then she’ll decide that maybe they can make this Patty situation work in their favor.
Phyllis will come up with a double hero plot that’ll hopefully redeem them both in Genoa City.
In an alley, Y&R fans will see the return of Mr. Kitty the stuffed cat. Patty will talk to Mr. Kitty about her desire to use Matt for her dirty work.
Patty will also decide to stick around and give Jack another chance since she’ll view Diane as the real problem along with his family.
It’ll become Patty’s goal to get Jack away from them and take him somewhere secluded to fall in love again.
Patty will acknowledge that drugging and incarceration may be required at first, but she’ll suggest you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs!
Once Patty checks social media for info on her escape, she’ll see a headline about Jack’s hospitalization.
Patty will watch a viral video of Jack’s collapse and panic before plotting her next move.
After Phyllis convinces Matt to deceive Patty as part of her plan, he’ll get Patty on the phone.
Patty will be pleased and assume Matt’s had a change of heart, so he’ll push her to come back to his motel room for a conversation about it.
