The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that big trouble could be brewing on the road somewhere in Genoa City.
Some potential clues are dropping about a car crash, so let’s consider whether Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) might get tangled up in the drama.
In the September 23 episode, Audra met up with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at The Shadow Room and spent the evening drinking.
When it was time for Audra to go, Sally wanted to confirm that her friend wasn’t driving.
Audra assured Sally that although she might be crabby, selfish and a pain in the you-know-what, she wasn’t stupid.
That led to Audra insisting that she was calling a car, which was a relief to Sally.
However, the fact that Y&R devoted time to this lengthy exchange seems rather odd.
It would’ve been just as easy for Audra to say her ride-share was waiting as she exited the table.
Since the show highlighted Sally’s concern and Audra’s insistence that she wasn’t dumb about driving while under the influence, they may be going somewhere with all this.
At some point in the coming months, Audra may not be as diligent about calling a car when she’s had too much to drink.
There might be some situation where Audra thinks she’s OK to drive when she really isn’t.
Then again, maybe Audra could keep her promise and prove she’s always responsible.
In that case, perhaps someone else could be to blame for driving while inebriated and plowing right into Audra’s car.
Back in August, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) said Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson) is a teenager who’s driving now.
That driving mention led to speculation that a Christian recast might become part of a car crash story eventually.
We could imagine underage Christian sparking major Newman family concern if he gets behind the wheel while drunk, especially considering Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) history of alcoholism and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) recent addiction issues.
Regardless, Y&R could use a juicy accident storyline, so maybe they’re setting the stage for one.
Audra’s latest comments could point to her getting pulled into some chaotic car crash news whether she’s to blame or not!
