The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, October 12, reveal that Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) will do some investigating and end up with something important to share with the Newmans.
There’ll be some info related to Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to pass along, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
Y&R fans know Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) crashed the car Matt was driving, so he banged his head up and headed back to Genoa City.
Matt is staying at the Riverbank Motel again and has been wrestling with his awful former self trying to creep back in.
Since Matt just abandoned that smashed-up vehicle, the police launched an investigation to see who might be tied to it.
When Detective Burrow requests a meeting, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will assume this is related to the missing Joe (Chris Grant Wenchell) case instead.
Detective Burrow will confess it’s about Matt instead since his fingerprints were found inside the car he left behind.
Since the accident happened about 100 miles away, Nick and Adam may assume Matt could be back in Genoa City by now.
Since Matt confessed he was leaving town with Patty, Nick may suspect Patty went off the rails and became too hard for Matt to handle.
However, Nick will worry about the potential for Matt to revert to bad behavior, especially now that his little redemption plan has fallen apart.
Once Adam is alone with his brother, he may warn Nick not to take matters into his own hands again.
Nick is in enough trouble as it is over this whole Joe situation, so Adam may push Nick not to go after Matt and make matters worse.
Viewers know that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cottage set recently returned on-screen.
It turns out that’s where Matt is headed, so look for him to sneak in Sharon’s place early during the week of October 12-16.
As for Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), it looks like his Friday cliffhanger questions will go unanswered.
Despite Cane’s attempt to pry information out of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), he may remain in the dark as a new day begins in Genoa City.
Monday’s show may leave Cane frustrated over Lily’s inability to trust him with her secret, but he’ll just have to be patient and hope she’ll eventually come clean.
Lily will be hesitant to divulge news about her inconclusive lab results and all her cancer fears.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane will be sick with worry in the meantime, so stay tuned.
