The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, July 23, reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will react to Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) upsetting admission, which could leave her sounding the alarm.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will also make a bold move in hopes of winning Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) approval, so some excitement is brewing in Genoa City.
For starters, Nick will have a catch-up session with Sharon, so she’ll presumably get some alarming news about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) growing connection to Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Since Nick spotted Phyllis making out with Matt and knows he was in her suite later, Sharon may share his concerns.
Sharon and Phyllis bonded through their time as Martin Laurent’s (Christopher Cousins) lab rats, so they’re more like friends than foes at this point.
Perhaps Sharon will resolve to talk to Phyllis about the risks of getting tangled up with Matt once Nick spills what he knows.
Of course, Nick will also open up about Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) bandage removal not turning out like any of them hoped.
Nikki still can’t see, so Nick may admit he’s hurting for his mom and craving drugs as a coping strategy.
However, Nick may promise Sharon that he’ll resist the urge and keep going to his meetings.
As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), they’ll consider their next steps.
Audra and Sally will have some possibilities to mull over, so they may discuss Adam going behind Victor’s back with his recent offer.
Victor could blow his top if he learns Adam made that secret pitch to buy Newman Media while pretending he wrestled it away from Sally.
There are always risks involved when it comes to duping Victor, so that’s something Sally and Audra will have to keep in mind.
Meanwhile, Adam and Chelsea will move forward with a power play that they hope will score points with Victor.
Whether that ties in with the Sally scheme or not, Chelsea and Adam could be playing with fire if they resort to deception.
That said, The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Victor may be distracted as he worries about Nikki and how distraught she is over her continued vision loss.
