The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might decide to change tactics if Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) keeps digging her heels in against him.
Phyllis is desperate to avoid prison, but she’s also been too stubborn to give up the Newman empire so far.
If Phyllis lets this go to trial, she’ll be taking quite a gamble – especially if Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) officially becomes the DA again.
However, Y&R spoilers say Victor could be taking quite a gamble, too.
For starters, the evidence that Victor has fabricated against Phyllis could lead to a deeper investigation into the AI program that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) developed.
Real proof could emerge that points to Victor taking control of it for his own purposes before he lost the upper hand.
Plus, a trial could be a drawn-out process with no guaranteed victory.
Victor would much rather have a fast win, particularly since he’s convinced so many employees to abandon Phyllis and the company.
Serious damage could be done to Summers Conglomerate aka Newman Enterprises, so what will be left of it by the time a trial happens and control goes back to Victor?
That’s something Victor really needs to think about, too.
At some point, Victor might decide to change up his strategy and rely on someone familiar for help.
Perhaps Victor could decide that since Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) hinted about sticking around Genoa City, he might as well put her to work again.
Victor was quite pleased with how his last partnership with Patty worked out.
As Victor pointed out, the results spoke for themselves since Patty successfully blew up Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) marriage on that yacht.
Victor gave Patty a bag of cash as her reward, so she might be tempted if he summons her with the promise of a second money bag and asks her to pull off another job for him.
Patty might accept a new mission and become tasked with getting Phyllis to agree to surrender Newman.
Since kidnapping is one of Victor’s favorite things to do, he might even be willing to have Phyllis thrown in captivity with Patty as her tormentor.
Phyllis would absolutely lose it if she once again felt like a lab rat considering what went down with Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins).
Patty is Phyllis’ longtime enemy and someone Phyllis considers just as crazy as twisted Martin despite her rehabilitation claims.
If there’s someone who can drive Phyllis over the edge and convince her to sign everything back to Victor for her freedom, it just might be Patty!
