General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) may not be in the dark like she previously seemed to be regarding “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) and the secrets he’s keeping.
It feels like something has changed for Liesl based on how she’s interacting with “Nathan” now.
Obrecht was gone for almost two months, which is far longer than necessary for a medical conference.
What if Liesl was doing her own research and digging for answers about “Nathan’s” return during that time away?
Obrecht might’ve uncovered the truth about Cassius surviving and eventually taking over “Nathan’s” life as part Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) twisted operation.
When Liesl was defending “Nathan” to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and trying to shut down her questions, she insisted it was a miracle that her son was back.
Obrecht said “Nathan” survived a terrible manipulation on someone’s part before adding that her son was home just as he should be.
What if Liesl was actually talking about Cassius and has already accepted that he’s the miraculous return?
After all, it would be just as miraculous for Obrecht to be reunited with Nathan’s twin if she was led to believe he was stillborn.
Obrecht had a rather long hug with “Nathan” along with a strange expression when they reunited following her trip.
It left “Nathan” wondering if everything was OK, but what if Liesl was just embracing Cassius for the first time after discovering who he really is?
Obrecht later reflected on how much James West (Gary James Fuller) needed “Nathan” in his life, so Cassius acknowledged that he needed James, too.
“Now you have your son. James has his father. In the end, that’s all that matters,” Liesl said in the April 27 episode.
Doesn’t that sound like exactly the sort of thing Obrecht would say if she’d figured out the real story and planned to keep the Cassius news quiet?
Perhaps Liesl feels like having one son back is better than having no son at all, even if it’s Cassius instead of Nathan.
Obrecht can see that James and “Nathan” are good for each other, so maybe she’s just decided that’s enough for her.
Whatever the case, Liesl looked deep in thought when James questioned “Nathan” about whether he ever wished he had a good brother.
General Hospital spoilers say Liesl may be keeping some secrets of her own, so stay tuned.
