The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, April 28, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will cause a major blowup in the desert.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will also make a desperate phone call, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At the Newman ranch, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will suggest a compromise where Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) buys the Newman empire back from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but Victor won’t see why he should pay for what was stolen.
After Victor insists there’ll be no negotiation, he’ll make it clear that there’s only one outcome he’ll accept.
In Phyllis’ office, she’ll be with Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) when Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) arrives after being summoned by his mother.
Daniel will find out about Victor coming after Phyllis with fabricated evidence, but he won’t be surprised and will act like prison might do his mom some good.
Phyllis will point out that she’ll never get a fair trial with Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) as the DA.
That’s why Phyllis will want Daniel to convince Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) to distract Christine and give Phyllis time to make a countermove.
Daniel won’t be interested in helping, but Lauren will rush to Phyllis’ defense.
After Phyllis stomps off, Daniel will wonder if Lauren can talk some sense into Phyllis and get her to stand down in this fight against Victor.
In Las Vegas, Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) will speak with Matt over the phone.
Matt will lash out over Riza betraying him, but he’ll still be in a good mood since he’ll have the Newmans right where he wants them.
Although Matt will speak in riddles, he’ll reveal enough to let Riza know he’s planning to turn the gas station into a fireball with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) inside.
Riza will fill in Chelsea, who’ll freak out and eventually realize there’s only one person who can help now.
Chelsea will get Victor on the phone and let him know Matt’s about to blow up the gas station with Noah, Sharon, Adam and Nick inside.
While Victor tells Chelsea to send him the coordinates, Nick will be in bad shape inside the gas station.
Adam will admit Nick took a couple of pills and explain the whole storage room situation that resulted in Nick swiping fentanyl baggies.
Sharon will realize that for Nick to be in withdrawal, he must’ve already been using before he got locked in that room.
Adam will acknowledge that he encouraged Nick to take the drugs and planned to get him the help he needed when this was all over.
There’ll be some talk about Nick obviously getting a bad dose as they try to keep him conscious and get him some help.
Sharon will want to call for an ambulance, but that plan won’t work out since Matt took their cell phones and the landline doesn’t work.
Nick will be too weak to stand, so Sharon and the others will struggle despite knowing they need to get him out to Adam’s car.
Out on the road, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will be on her way to the gas station when she spots Matt’s parked vehicle.
Sienna will jump in the passenger seat and catch Matt off guard, so that’ll lead to a big argument between them.
Sienna will see the security cam feed and try to talk Matt out of whatever he’s planning.
In return, Sienna will suggest they can recapture what they lost and run away together since Victor transferred everything other than the club to her name.
Matt will feel like Sienna is just trying to save her “boytoy,” so he’ll hit the detonate button and blow up the gas station as planned.
The building will burst into flames in the distance thanks to Matt’s twisted move.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sienna will fear the worst, but she’ll get some news that leaves her relieved soon!
