The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 22, reveal that the moment of truth will arrive for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will stay close to his wife and make an important promise.
Doug Tompos will reprise his role as Dr. Nowling on Wednesday’s episode, so it looks like Nikki’s bandage removal appointment will get underway.
Dr. Nowling will ultimately leave Nikki’s eyes bare and push her to open them, but she’ll understandably be nervous.
Y&R spoilers say Victor will make a powerful vow to Nikki as she faces this news that could change her life drastically.
Victor will show his loyalty and make it clear that he’s going to be in Nikki’s corner no matter what.
This is supposed to be a long-term summer story, so Nikki’s vision may not return to normal right away.
There could be more sight-related challenges for Nikki that’ll force her to lean on Victor even more.
In the meantime, it seems Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will ignore Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) interruption from the night before and spend a hot morning together.
Phyllis will end up in a robe as she continues tempting Matt to stay in Genoa City instead of disappearing.
Matt is clearly into Phyllis, but he’s also weary of all the judgment he faces from the rest of GC.
Phyllis will do her best to keep watch over Matt on Wednesday’s show and make sure that he doesn’t vanish without a trace.
Since Phyllis has found a special connection with Matt, she’ll be eager to hang onto it and allow it to grow.
Of course, Phyllis also knows that Victor is more than capable of following through on his threats.
Since Victor has been warning Matt about a prison sentence, Phyllis will try to keep her new man out of the slammer and hopefully in her arms!
