The Young and the Restless (Y&R) preview video for the week of June 8-12 reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have a task for Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to accomplish while Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) makes a Genoa City comeback.
Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Matt at the Newman ranch, where he tells Victor that he’s ready.
Matt then asks if they’re going to start Victor’s plan for him to go get Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), so Victor insists it’s happening soon.
Since Matt is willing to do anything to make amends to the Newmans, Victor will apparently use him as part of a plot to target Cane.
Matt may not want to cross any criminal lines again, but he’ll be eager to prove his Newman loyalty.
The weekly preview video also shows Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) toasting to Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) success and to the Genoa City Shadow Room.
It’s obvious that Sharon will be a proud mom as she celebrates Noah’s opening night along with the other guests.
An exciting return is also teased in the promo since Malcolm can be seen popping back up in town.
Malcolm will have a chance to chat with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), so they’ll be glad to see him looking so wonderful.
Since Malcolm’s recovery has gone so beautifully, he’ll be feeling well enough to hang out with some familiar faces in GC and even party a bit.
Malcolm will eventually become part of the nightclub’s grand opening festivities, so stay tuned for some fun scenes.
At some point, Malcolm will have a chance to talk to Holden and hopefully start forming a real father-son bond with him.
Holden will be glad for the opportunity to get to know Malcolm, so they’ll both celebrate Malcolm surviving and thriving.
It appears Malcolm will spend some time reigniting his old flame with Stephanie as well, so maybe a kiss could play out between the exes sooner or later.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say the news of Malcolm’s return will shake things up and bring some excitement.
