In tonight’s Tracker episode, two teenage girls got in late one night. Julie and Tori were best friends. Tori went over to Julie’s after texting her mom she was going to crash at her friend’s place. They claimed they had a history project together. Truthfully, they went out to a party together. They got in really late. Julie thought her parents were asleep so they tired to make little noise as possible. It wasn’t enough. Those two girls stumbled into a serial killer at the house. He had already killed Julie’s parents. He killed Julie next. He just didn’t kill Tori. He grabbed her and he left with her.
Colter was hired by Tori’s parents because they didn’t like the cops’ theory. The cops thought Tori had been killed and ditched elsewhere. Only her mother refused to believe it.
She said she’d know if her daughter was dead. She wasn’t. She was so sure that Colter wanted to get her answers no matter what. Randy must have agreed with him because he accepted the case without waiting for Colter’s okay. They both knew that missing children are rarely found if they’re taken more than day. Colter got to Montanna when Tori was missing already for twelve hours.
Colter tried to assist the cops. They didn’t want his help. He then followed the kidnapper’s trail into the woods and he ran into Special Agent Temple. She was a profiler for the FBI.
She followed the same clues that Colter did. The ones that the state police were ignoring. The cops were dismissive of Colter. They didn’t think a rewardist knew anything about the job and they were wrong. Temple spotted that Colter was good at this. She agreed to let him assist the case because they were indeed looking for a serial killer.
Someone that has struck two other families. He always takes the daughters from the families. He didn’t do that this time with Julie. He ended up killing her because she surprised him and that meant him grabbing Tori was him improvising.
Temple and Colter believed they could work with that. Temple told Colter about the other cases. She said that the killer spies on the families for hours if not days before he makes a move. He takes the daughters. He tortured them and he ultimately kills them within thirty-six hours. Tori won’t have long.
The two tracked the killer dragging Tori’s body in a makeshift wheeler to the street. He probably had a car waiting for him there. Temple knew this guy was the serial killer she’s been hunting, but she couldn’t get her boss to see it much less put feet on the ground without showing evidence they didn’t have. By then it would be too late to save Tori.
Its why Temple turned a blind eye to Colter’s methods. He used Randy to find out there was an RV that took off from that area. The RV was used by a registered sex offender.
He also happened to be a photographer. They tracked Julie’s movements earlier that day. She and Tori went to a hairdresser because they were meeting with a photographer to take photos. They thought they could become models. Yes, the hairdresser tried to warn him when he found out what they were doing. They didn’t.
They got all dressed up to meet the photographer and never noticed they were being followed back to the house. They tracked down the RV. Temple searched it while Colter chased after Nelson Reagan.
Reagan admitted to his past. Only he said that he had no idea the girls were under eighteen. He was answering questions when Temple found the knife used to kill Julie in his RV and her DNA was still on it. Reagan claimed he was being framed. He said anyone could access his RV. They did. Colter followed up on the knife.
It was handcrafted so Colter had Randy run it down. It was created by a known violent felon. He now makes handcrafted weapons. He crafted the murder weapon for someone using the alias of G. Lee. He gets paid in cash and he never questions the people who hire him.
Though the knife was delivered to an address. Colter got the address. He shared it with Temple. He then went there without her. He wanted to find Tori fast and he walked into a trap set by the serial killer.
The killer was the hairdresser the whole time. He waits for teenage girls to come in with mommy’s credit card to label them as arrogant and entitled. He said he spots the rot in them. He did it with Julie. Then he killed her by accident so he made sure to find the rot in Tori. He was insane. He also had Colter tied up.
Colter later broke from his chains. He found Tori still alive. He interrupted the killer before he could kill Agent Temple. He knocked him out. He called for backup and an ambulance. Tori was going to be okay.
The same for Temple who got shot. Temple was depressed at first because she was right about a serial killer and it was still an uphill battle to get anyone to believe her. She just doesn’t know how long she’s going to keep doing this job.
THE END!
