Drew Barrymore is the model of Hollywood probity these days, nevertheless her Halloween party received a surprise visit by the cops after neighbors complained.
According to TMZ sources: Drew Barrymore’s Hollywood Hills neighbors phoned police shortly after midnight. We’re told cops spoke with Barrymore and she rectified the noise situation and there were no complaints from then on.
Granddaughter of iconic American actor John Barrymore, Drew first appeared in an advertisement when she was 11 months old. Born in 1975 Drew then made her film debut in ‘Altered States’ in 1980. Afterwards, she starred in her breakout role in ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,’ quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most recognized child actors and going on to establish herself in mainly comic roles.
Despite Hollywood success, or perhaps because of it, her childhood was marred by serious drug and alcohol abuse resulting in at least two stints in rehab. But turning problems into opportunities Barrymore wrote the 1990 autobiography, ‘Little Girl Lost.’ She successfully made the transition from child star to adult actress going on to star in many films – and she seems to have coped with her substance abuse problems.
