Might I be lucky enough to run into the lovely and talented Penelope Cruz whilst gallivanting through Central Europe?? I hope so, as Penelope is back and forth between Italy and Bosnia filming scenes for her latest film, Venuto Al Mondo – or Came Into The World, opposite Emile Hirsch. I should be in Bosnia soon so stay put P!
The movie is about a single mother (Cruz) who brings her teenage to Sarajevo where his father died in the Bosnian conflict years earlier. Sounds interesting, especially with Emile portraying her son. Seems like a strange age difference as Penelope in no way seems old enough to play his mother, but the power of makeup and cameras is pretty astounding these days.
Check out Penelope on set, and do keep your fingers crossed in hopes that I might have the good fortune of tracking them down – when in Bosnia…
